I finally will be heading to Six Flags New England in the upcoming weeks. What are the best days to visit Six Flags New England (in terms of lightest crowds in the ride park {I don't care about the water park})? Also, what is the best plan of action once I enter the park to do all of the rides I want to go on (best times to ride and best seats)? I am going to arrive at opening and leave at closing. Finally, which rides at Six Flags New England have single rider lines?

Here are the rides I want to go on (highest priority at the top).
Superman: Ride of Steel
Batman the Dark Knight
Thunderbolt
Cyclone
Mind Eraser
Pandemonium
Catapult
Nightwing
Twister
Splash Water Falls
Blizzard River
Flashback
Shipwreck Falls
Catwoman's Whip

Also, I am considering trying Scream (never tried tall drop towers, but love small S&S double shots) and the Tomahawk (haven't been on a major pendulum ride since a swinging ship at a carnival many years ago where I really hated it), two rides that I haven't yet conquered my fear of.

Track Record

47 Steel Coasters
64 Total Coasters

weekdays are normally slower. and Mon Tues are nomrally slow for any park

Hit superman first with the walking crowd, Nightwing second. walk along the back to Catwomans whip.

After that go up the hill Through Wiggles world and take a left. Hit Splash water falls next. lines get long and i don't know if they added single rider to it. can hit batman then and there but it can wait line moves OK. I think it has single rider.

Go across the park to Shipwreck falls. line gets long and it's not worth a long wait. Then over to Pandemonium. there is a single rider line.

Just hit what's left from there. lines are lines not sure single rider availability.

also if you can so Twister and Catapult you can do scream and Tomahawk. if you go up to Tomahawk hit Houdini.

Get a Flash Pass I can not stress this enough, don't get your hopes up for both Night Wing and Catapult to be open, chances are one will be down. Cyclone, sit in the very front seat, it is never a long wait and the smooth ride and ejector air time is worth it, Skip Pandemonium if the line is long, it has a very low capacity, but I think it has a single rider line. Twister is an OK Top Spin, but it has a very cookie cutter ride program. Bring lots of money for food, it's expensive, try the Philly Steak and Cheese Sub at the "50's" themed place, they are so good. If you are going on Mind Eraser, make sure you brace your head and the closer to the front the better, the smoother. Otherwise have fun it's a beautiful park, one of the best as far as Six Flags goes. I don't think that any of them have Single Rider Lines, besides Pandemonium (well they didn't last year anyway) Also grab the front seat on Superman, it's worth it, and with the Flash Pass there is no wait at all if you get it in the morning.

Thank you. I know that I won't be getting a Flash Pass (not worth it) and will try to ride as much as I can.

I don't understand why a Flash Pass is so highly looked upon. If you have a whole day at a park, any park, you can get a great deal done.

because todays Society wants things now. Especially Generation X and Y. they expect Z to be even worse. They don't think about money and how much things cost. so they will invest in something simply to save a few minutes. I have had many trips to SFNE without Flash pass and Got on everything I wanted. some things twice. My only really long wait came from a very large group of Flash pass holder that were let in in front of me for 20 minutes.

I only buy it so I can get all my coasters reserved then I can go check out the rest of the park, flat rides, food, and scenery . It doesn't really help you get on more coasters, it just stands inline for you, so you can go do other things.

But it just plain isn't needed. I think the only place that it would be needed is at Great Adventure with a bunch of crowds, poor staffing and poor capacity.

Would I be able to do most of the park in 7 hours? I can't spend more than that because of events that are happening in the morning everyday.

I'm sure you can do most of the park in that time. I did all of the coasters in about 3 hours when I went. I would just suggest getting to Superman first as there will be a rush of people to get there.

yes you can. And you can always skip some rides like Scrambler, tea cups, etc that are in allot of parks and well better at other parks. flat rides lines are normally very manageable. so there isn't much to worry about.

Yeah hit Superman First, then Thunder Bolt, only because it has such a low capacity and the line fills up fast, Batman almost always runs two trains, Cyclone also, and lately Mind Eraser has been too. And Flashback...well it's a Boomerang, and Pandemonium has a single rider line, so you should be ok there.

Thank you for the info. Also, what time does Superman's line close at night (Monday when the park closes at 10:00). I want to get a back seat night ride on it so badly.

get in line 10 minutes before Closing. they normally don't close the line until 10:00 but they will order you to Fill in existing seats after about 15-20 minutes and 10:00.

It's official. As long as there are no major surprises (like bad weather) I will finally be going on Thursday.

Right now its 50-50 whether I will go. It looks like it will rain tomorrow. Which rides won't operate in the rain or reopen if it rains?

Well thunderstorms ruined my chance of going today, but tomorrow looks very good in the afternoon.

By the way, how often does Scream run space shot mode? I want to try that mode before I try combo or turbo.

Normally In my experience if they are not running combo's they operate on turbo drop and one space shot.

Every time I have ever gone, they were both in Space Shot, the one nearest Thunder Bolt hasn't run in years I think.

My friend has invited me to go to Six Flags New England with him tomorrow. I have heard nightmares regarding the lines and crowds on a Saturday. How bad will the lines be for the major rides (Scream, Batman, Superman, Mind Eraser, and the wooden coasters)? Also, will this Saturday be worse than the usual Saturday because it's Labor Day weekend?

Yes the lines may be a bit worse also Superman may not be open it's been down for a couple weeks now. So that will likely cause more problems with lines on other rides.

I went yesterday and Superman sadly was yet again closed. Scream's wait was very long early, but later died down and Batman had a fairly long wait all day.
