Has anyone ever been to or heard of this park? I've snooped around but have been able to find out little else, other than it might've been the hunting grounds of a serial killer.

Also, this other park gets me too. It was posted on defunctparks more than 4 years ago. You would think someone would've found this park and posted photos online by now but so far I've found nothing. I don't even know what its real name was. Can anyone help?

There is a defunct amusement park, in Preston County,WV. I don't recall the name of the park, offhand. Now, I know that this site is about amusement/theme parks, and the rides,as that's fine with me. Now, as for this defunct park,it's haunted. Paranormal investigators have been to the defunct park, and they have proof, that it's haunted. Now, if anyone is interested, in the paranormal, you must get permission, to conduct a ghost hunt, as it is private property. As for the most part, the owner will give you permission. Though, sometimes the owner doesn't give permission, though it his is property, so I can understand why. I got permission, one time to on a ghost hunt, with a paranormal research group, with the owners permission. It creeped me out! It is indeed haunted, with the spirits being Indians who lived in the area, many years ago.

Please, for the love of God, keep 'em coming! I love researching old parks. Especially haunted ones!

I mentioned in my post, that this abandoned and haunted amusement park,is located in Preston County,WV. I'm wrong on the location. Yes, it's located in WV, but In Mercer County,WV in the town of Princeton. The land that the amusement park was located, is privately owned as I mentioned in posting.A friend of mine ssaid he's nice man.You have to get permission from the owner, most of time, you'll permission, to go on his property. He holds a fishing derby, on Saturday evenings, that's open to the public. I'm not sure if Mr. White believes if the abandoned amusement park is haunted or not. The name of the abondoned park, is Lake Shawnee Amusement Park.

I don't buy the haunted bit, but it still sounds worth a trip. I grew up in areas with old, abandoned houses and barns, and we had many a spooky good time checking out those places.

I found a huge blog post with shots of abandoned theme parks all over the world. Japan, Spain, and Ohio I think. The post is here.

Someone submitted it on my new site, Theme Park Syndicate.

Wow! I forgot about this thread long ago, and I thought everyone else did too...

Anyway, I came across that park in WV too while I was looking for more info about Pennyland. I also came across another park in my home state that's been closed for awhile. It's called Holyland USA, and while it's not really an AP as there's no rides, it's still pretty creepy:

Coastrglxy, that link you sent sounds real interesting, unfortunately I can't get it to open...
