Or should I say, "Ole!" Looks like me and that large conglomeration of European pressed wood pulp in Jackson, NJ will finally have our long-awaited rendevous next Saturday, 21 October. If anybody's out and about, say hi to the skinny dude in line for El Toro with the skeptical look on his face.

Hey, Traver, are you reading me?

Timberman - I'd love to join you but I have a confirmation party to attend for my best friend's daughter. Enjoy!

timbermn-

two trips for me to 6flags over nj in one season (after not going for 10 years) and two wood coaster nuts in a land of b&m and intamin?

sounds like fun. that evening i'm doing something a bit unusual for me, which is dj-ing a wedding (!). however i promise that it is a very unconventional wedding, and the only thing that might resemble line dancing will be a line of my friends dancing "the robot" to afrika baambaata.

since they open early (10am) i will seriously consider the idea. unfortunately they seldom have el toro running at opening.

since larry can't come, are you prepared to defend us against queue hooligans? i give GrAdv security enough credit to suppose it's not likely you'll be able to smuggle your nunchuks through the front gate.

Since it's a confirmation party, I'll file this under "excused for religious observance."

I, too, have celebratory obligations that evening, so I'll need to be back in NYC by about 1900 hrs. My plan is to arrive early, and my only real objectives are to get enough rides on El Toro and, what's that other one -- High Karate? -- to write my usual dispassionate, purely objective reviews. I suppose I'll also want to revisit Rolling Thunder's sad decline, and maybe take a spin on GASM for old time's sake if the lines are short.

Well, the anger management therapy I underwent after my last queue line throwdown (which occurred on my honeymoon) has helped me to avoid confrontation. Still, if we're forced to resort to empty hand combat, I have one word of advice: headbutt.

40,000 people were at SFGAdv last Saturday. The day we were there attendance probably topped out at around 15,000

Make that 40,001. I'm there this Saturday. I'm going to try to be on the road from NYC by about 0800 hrs, which should put me at SFGA by about 0945, give or take. The weekend forecast looks favorable, God willing.

So should I buy the online ticket for $40, or do they still have the buy one/get one free Coke cans? If so, HT, we can split it.

I don't have Internet access at work, but I'll have Momma T monitor this frequency for further transmissions tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll see you at the park. My guess is the crowd will really start to swell around 1500 or 1600 hrs, which is right about the time I'll be bugging out for the big city.

mierda! with experts like lawrence alligator and hercules chiming in i confess to having strong reservations now about the sensibility of my joining you.

it's a 2 1/2 hour ride from my house with smooth traffic. when one has a deadline such as i do on saturday i think some chaos mathematics need to be factored in to the timing algebra as well. i need to get home and get dressed, smelling pretty and to the wedding by 1830 hrs. those concerns plus 40$internet ticket (do it btw) + 15$ parking + 20$ tolls + 20$ gas + 7/8$ bad lunch = 112$ for what could amount to 3 coaster rides!

the real goal would be to meet a great TPCer, but i suggest that be done somewhere more hospitable (and relaxing) such as knoebels for the flying turns next year or busch gardens as mentioned previously.

there can be no doubt you are dedicated to coasters!

apologies for my cold feet. i loved el toro, you will also for sure. it's a genius design.

good luck to you too momma timbers, for you are wedded to a nutty guy!
