Obviously some coasters are better than others and a lot of what we do on this site is rank our experiences on the different coasters we've ridden. But what about a single moment or experience that's been permanently etched in your mind. Not necessarily a complete coaster that rocked your world, but just one element or moment of coaster perfection. Maybe there was an extreme launch of airtime, a surprise pitchblack tunnel, a headchopper, or an indescribable launch.

Some of my favorite or most memorable experiences include:
The tunnel of Hades
Volcano's rolling launch
Montu's Egyptian-themed canyons
Storm Runner's flying snake dive
The Bavarian village of Big Bad Wolf (at night)

What are some of the most memorable experiences you've had on a coaster?

I'm sure we discussed this before but it's still a good topic and people's experiences change over time

S:UF - pretzel loop
TTD - launch
Cyclops - the insane airtime hill from the back seat
Hades - tunnel
Beast - giant helix
Blue Streak (Conneaut) - first drop
X - Raven turn
Voyage - the whole ride at night in the pitch black

Ejector air on jackrabbit.
Theming on Nemesis.
The hangtime on Oblivion.
The horseshoe curve on Dragon's fury.
The fear on my first Magnum ride.

The launch into the zero-g roll on the Hulk, combined with the drop over the lake into the cobra roll. Great stuff.

back in the day the helix finale of the beast was a thing of beauty. loud, extremely fast and jarringly forceful. at night it was psychedelic.

the double down on the jack rabbit is also a thing of beauty. the first time i rode it i was shocked and amazed by the ejection.

the blast out of the the top of the volcano (on the volcano) is a fantastic moment for sure.

the first drop on millenium force is breathtaking. it feels like you are hanging in space for a bit too long for an amusement ride.

the bunny hill run at the end of the phoenix is also a real hoot.

the pretzal loop on any old SUF coasters, the third hill on Magnum, and TTD's and/or KK's launch are my favorite coaster moments. I'll bet X's first drop and raven turns will really be something when I'm through with the ride. Same with Ejanaika.

Coney Island Cyclone... that first drop. Insane, violent and just wrong.

The Beast... final double helix. hrry put it best.

Boulder Dash... final run to the station. "How in the hell is this thing going to stop?"

Phoenix... final two turnarounds. Insane, natural, pure woodie airtime. Completely crazy.

After ridin El Toro yesterday, I have to add that drop into the twisted section towards the end. I don't usually include great air in my moments list, but that's the most forceful airtime I've ever experienced!

My greastest moments on a coaster are as follows.

Phoenix's final bunny hills (Lots of ejector air-time)

The Comet's (HP) first drop (Good ejector air)

Lightning Racer's Finale (See who wins race)

Excalibur's Ejector Air Steep 1st Drop

Apollo's Chariot and Steel Force's first drops (large, long, and full of ejector air-time)

Volcano's powerful launch

No, Herc. Airtime is no longer overrated. This has been an enlightening season for me. Thunderhead, Hades, Voyage, Avalanche, and El Toro all in one year. While I'm not a complete woodie convert, I do see the light. I mean who knew woodies could almost as much fun as steel coasters?

Hulk's launch
TTD's launch
The Cyclone's first drop
Phantom's Revenge's speed coming off the 2nd drop
River King Mine Train's final double-dip drop
Millennium Force's lift hill and drop
Apollo's Chariot's turnaround
Apollo's Chariot's dive under the lift hill
Jack Rabbit's double dip

I could think of a few more, but that's a pretty good list to start.

Revenge of the Mummy's backwards section

Are you serious? It reverses for like 10 seconds...

Anyways Toro's hill is hard to beat.
