Yankee Cannonball

mrc - you are the ultimate homer. I rode it on Friday night for the first time and this was one of my most disappointing coasters ever.

I don't even know if this makes my Top 50 for coasters under 100 feet.

I get your point but with only 100 coaster under your belt that a little harsh. But it's your opinion and I respect it. I Just hope if you visit the park again you give the ride another try. But I also don't know what you look for in a coaster. and in my park most of the wood coasters I've been on were over 100ft.

I'll give it another try if I visit the park again, I just didn't have time for a second ride this time. I found Excalibur (or at least the first half of it) far superior to anything YC offered. However, knowing the under 100 foot coasters in New England I'd have to say Pandemonium blows them all away.

here are 50 coasters under 100 foot coasters I prefer over YC:
in no particular order;
1 - Raven
2 - Legend
3 - Cyclone
4 - Phoenix
5 - Cornball Express
6 - Colossus (Thorpe Park)
7 - Wild One
8 - Nemesis Inferno
9 - Comet (Great Escape)
10 - Georgia Cyclone
11 - Hydra
12 - Laser
13 - Thunder Road
14 - Gwazi
15 - Great Bear
16 - Lightning Racer
17 - Roar (SFA)
18 - Thunder Run
19 - Avalanche
20 - Cyclops
21 - Grizzly (PKD)
22 - Rock n Roller Coaster
23 - Jokers Jinx
24 - Poltergeist
25 - Blue Streak (CP)
26 - Blue Streak (CLP)
27 - River King Mine Train
28 - Road Runner Express (SFFT)
29 - Hoosier Hurricane
30 - Swamp Fox
31 - FoF (PKI)
32 - FoF (PKD)
33 - Thunderbolt (Kennywood)
34 - JackRabbit (Kennywood)
35 - J2
36 - Rita Queen of Speed
37 - Air
38 - Grand National
39 - Megaphobia
40 - Skyliner (Lakemont)
41 - Dragon's Fury
42 - Spinball Whizzer
43 - Pandemonium
44 - Timberland Twister
45 - Steel Dragon
46 - Velocity
47 - Exterminator
48 - Nemesis
49 - King Solomon's Mine
50 - Wild Mouse (Blackpool's Wooden Mouse)
51 - Silver Comet

I will stop now!

Pandemonium is a really good coaster. I really enjoy it. Were did you sit when you road the cannonball? This isn't an effort to dispute your clam just Curious. But I can agree on a first ride anyone might expect more after a 45 minute to a hour wait.

I would hope that the second half of Excalibur gets better after it's worked on this off season.

I want to say CI Cyclone but I'll go with Laser instead just because I'm a sucker for Schwarzkopf anythings.

thanks for the info. Normally you get air time of every hill in that seat. Was it running slow that day?

I rode it on Friday September 1st and it was running very well. My friend in the middle of the train had ejector air on every hill.

Here's my list of best coasters under 100ft tall. Almost every wooden roller coaster I have been on is under 100ft tall except Boulder Dash.
1. Phoenix Knoebels
2. Yankee Cannonball Canobie Lake Park
3. Comet The Great Escape
4. Wildcat Hersheypark

5. Hurler Paramount King’s Dominion

Grizzly Paramount King’s Dominion

7. Excalibur Funtown U.S.A.

8. Rebel Yell Paramount King’s Dominion

9. Lightning Racer Hersheypark

10. Twister Knoebels

11. Comet Hersheypark

12. Sky Princess Dutch Wonderland
13. Thunderhawk Dorney Park

14. Dragon Coaster Rye Playland

15. Scooby Doo’s Ghoster Coaster Paramount King’s Dominion

16. Wildcat Lake Compounce
