If you have a ball game, we can do Lake Winnie early, make it half way up the coast, stop for the night, and make it the rest of the way the next morning. Something to plan via email really, I'll shoot you one.

I will definitely hit Lakeside also.

Unfortunately Lakeside is not open in October. Also, in order to visit Elitch Gardens I'll have to get up early and ride with a hangover since they are only open on Fridays and weekends in October

I need to still sort everything out but my potential road trips this year are as follows:

Long Weekend
Drive South and go to: SFoG and Lake Winnie possibly for Spring Fling

Extended WeekendDrive West and go to: Camden Park, Beech Bend and HW. Possibly Memorial Day weekend to be at Beech Bend for Rumblefest

Long Weekend
Drive South and visit Ocean City Parks, BGW, PKD and SFA

Regular Weekend
Drive North and go to Lake Canobie and Maine Parks

Once I can confirm vacation times I can put dates to some of these road trips. I still plan to make day trips to Knoebels, SFGAdv, HersheyPark and possibly an overnight to LaRonde. And Lake Compounce and SFNE are always possibilities also. Oh, the choices. I would like to aim for 40 new coasters and 6 new parks in the US (plus the seaside ones) and then the UK trip on top of that.

You are going to catch s*** for two reasons:

1. You left out the North Pole and Santa's Workshop and Story Land
2. You called it Lake Canobie, its Canobie Park duh!! *

I've always referred to it as Canobie Lake Park, am I subject to persecution as well?

I am excited about my upcoming trip in March. Though I have been to BGT before, I haven't been there for awhile, and therefore have never ridden SheiKra either. I am also going to SWO, long before Kraken was open, or I was even tall enough to ride it in the first place. Should be a great trip, I'm really looking forward to it.

Sorry Larry I am going with him. Halk the Fu#$%g park is like brand new to me. Plus I am not buying a season pass. Like I said I was really liking the park til they pulled the worst business move ever that day, so I will give them another chance. I know I should never give them my money again, but it won't be for a season pass and I will get in for half with my ACE card. It is funny that you remember that.

Moving back to my hometown New England from here in Florida after a 2 year absence. Going back to my original homeparks like SFNE and Canobie Lake. Treking to SFGADV for Kingda Ka and El Toro with friends.

A grand return and two very large mofo's to ride.

Heres my ideas fro 2006. In May im planning to go with a friend to Williamsburg. While there I hope to hit Busch Gardens Williamsburg sine I havent ridden any of their coasters (I was there a long time ago when I was too young)
In June Im going with my parents and friend to FL for Sea World, which I/we have never been to before and it looks really cool. Im talking my mom into getting combo Sea World/ Busch Gardens Tampa Bay tickets and that is a possibility. I might even talk her into sme Disney or Universal but thats unlikely and I have already been there. Thats about it for major trips. Some friends are tossing around the idea of a SC week long trip in july, but I dont know if thats going to happen and if so weather wed go to any parks while there or on the way.
Other then that Ill probably make some trips to Knoebels, Wildwood, and Dorney like usual.

i'm a bit torn on the great adventure question. with the price hike (already steep IMO), the crowd control issues, the long lines, the unpredictable closures..........is it worth my time and money?

i do the drive from baltimore to NYC often, and great adventure is located about two thirds of the way, not much of a drive at all. with so many big new coasters i've never ridden (last visit=10years ago!), it seems like a no brainer decision. my wood coaster instincts are speaking in my ear, "try the new fangled intamin wood concept." the temptation is saying, "suck it up hrry, one day out of your humble life."

however, i've still yet to go to clementon or lake compounce, and i think for the sake of conserving finances i'd rather visit these smaller parks with great wood coasters also quite worthy.

who knows, maybe i'll feel wealthy and/or masochistic and trek up to GAdv. time will tell, but it's sad that the fear of teen-age chaos, wallet-reaming prices, and lousy food/hospitality can actually make me deny myself some big-assed wild and crazy roller coasters.

Yeah, suck it up. Actually, you may be very surprised. Alot of folks like to bash the park, and it does do some stupid stuff at times, but the past few years, it has been getting better and better. Even Bobfunland will tell you, he was very surprised by the park when he first visited last season. He had a great time, and you will too. Just follow my advice, stay away from the park on the weekends, go early in the season, and show up right when the park opens.

You may also want to consider picking up a SFA season pass, which is actually cheaper then GAdv's single day admission, and Wild One at that park alone is worth it.

Let me know if and when you are going to be there, and I will try to meet up with you at some point as well.

It has certainly improved.

Let me know when you will be going also. Maybe I'll be able to take some time off in my busy schedule, but of course I doubt it so I don't even know why I made that statement.

thank you sirs for input. i also noticed that if you buy and print a ticket online the cost is 39$. a carfull of people to split parking fee and it's almost down to a comfy price. printing a ticket at home is one less queue to stand in also.

it seems do-able, perhaps taking in clementon later in the day for the evening rebate...

Clementon usually posts coupons online during the season. If I remember correctly there is usually a coupon to get a car of people into Clementon at night for either $19.99 or $29.99. That's for your whole carload. Be sure to check their website before you visit.

And they also have a coupon on the site that is for 7 dollars off the starlight price, so it turns out to be 11.99 for 6 hours of fun, so if it is only a couple of people that is the better way to go.

BTW, I am headed to miami this weekend. It saw a cheap flight just 2 weeks ago and said "hey do you want to go to Miami sarah?" She said yes, and we obviously chose a good weekend to go since the high was only 9 today and we are expecting snow for the whole weekend!!

Well you may as well for the DBH, it's a pretty fun ride and the only credit in South Florida worth getting.

Well I'm moving so I will have a new home park. I am leaving Williamsburg VA home of the GREAT Busch Gardens and moving to the Hershey PA area home of Hershey Park. I've been to Hershey a few times and always loved it so I am happy about that. However Busch Gardens Williamsburg is the best amusement park on earth so I will miss it very much, especially those lunch break rides on the Chariot.

I plan on visiting Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, Kings Island, and hopefully 3 Six Flags parks this summer. I want to go to SF La Ronde in Montreal, Six Flags Great Escape, and Six Flags New England in Massachusetts.

I'm going to Universal Studio's Grad Bash '06 FRIDAY!! You go through your school, they basically open the park to seniors only from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am. It's both parks this year too, and Chris Brown is perforoming ().
