i know this is a hard, but whats your favorite type of coaster? there are so many to choose from...wood, sit-down, sit-down upside-down, inverted, stand up, floorless, launch, etc.

My favorite would have to be inverted, it was a tough decision.

I like giga and strata coasters, even though i have only been on one of each of them i think that they are really cool and fun.

It's the wood that makes it good!

Wood are awesome but i like giga and strata better. But you can't beat the rough ride of a woodie.

B&M Inverts just own everything else. There are three of them in my Top 10 (Montu, Top Gun: TJC, and DD: Fire). I love Wooden coasters, but I have had a very small sampling of them, but they could easily take over as my favorite once I get to ride some big named ones, like the Pheonix, Shivering Timbers, Thunderhead, etc etc...

I like coasters that have the launches, it adds an extra thrill to the first hill if it is launched up it.

I like roller coaster like Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka with the launch and the verticle drop but they need to be longer like 2 or 2 and a half minutes or something, I mean they are fun and all but they are too short.

I personally love inversion elements and the floorless is my favorite by far. Although my favorite coaster overall is an invert, Alpengeist.

I like coasters that go really fast and inverted coasters dont seem to really go all that fast, that is why i don't like inverted coasters as much as traditional roller coasters.

I have only ever been on Raptor and I like it alot and i know it's a good coaster because it is ranked #10 in the world but i would rather ride a giga coaster or strata or even hyper, anything with a big drop and lots of speed.

Agreed. Woodies have satisfied guests for around 100 years (the ones that are still open). Some are even older, for example Leap the Dips which was built in 1902. Just an example how people never neglect a woodie, no matter how old it is.

I hafta say woodies are my favorites too, although I've only been on 6 of them. My all-time favorite coaster is a woodie. There more unpredictable than steel coasters which makes them even more fun to ride. The roughness is also a plus.

B&M inverts rock.

Also, I'm more excited about the wood coaster going in at Great Adventure for next year. I'm more excited about it then I was for Kingda Ka. I guess that should tell you something

Amen, Herc, Amen. After riding Talon and, I have to say it, Hydra, I was very pleased by the B&Ms. They are a close second for me besides WOODIES. WOOD COASTERS RULE! And hypercoasters are pretty good too.

Good old sit down steel loopers for me. Kumba being my all-time fav. I love the B&M floorlesses too. Hypers like Apollo and Nitro are a really close second, b/c I love big drops that challenge me.

I think that I am a slave to technology. Wood coasters just don't usually impress me nearly as much as giga coasters. I think that my favorite typew of coaster is the B&M Invert.

I'd have to say a Hyper. It might change to a floorless once I ride one though. And, I love Hybrids too.

My favorite kind of coaster is a hyper-coaster. However, it is closely followed by smooth, air-time filled wooden coasters.
