This has to be the most flabbergasting rating for this ride. I hit this ride at closing time and only waited 5 minutes in line, it was my first Universal theme ride and as a big back to the future fan I was stoked....so was it good?? god no...the nonsense in line about Biff and Doc Brown was dumb even from a "we have to have a half-hearted story to keep people from rioting in the line" aspect. once you get in the ride, I got stuck on the side so 40% of my view was obstructed by the temple-smashing plastic wall thats extra high to keep you from seeing the other car bouncing next to you. It shook and rocked like it hadnt been oiled since 1985, excluding Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Great America, i have never hurt as bad as I did after BTTF. Its really a shame because compared to Spider Man and Men in Black this thing is a real turd, which isnt fair to the Back to the Future brand, it deserves a little upkeep. I really believe that they need to tear this ride down ASAP and put something else in, it isnt even worth it for nostalgia sake.
I thought this was good simulator, espically since you get to sit in the delorian (Sp?). Its stating to become dated but its a classic. The only bad thing is the wait can be really long for this one.
This was the roughest motion simulator Ive ever been on. It is a very old ride, and the movie will soon be out of date since it takes place in 2015 and its already 2004, but oh well. The interior of the queue is cool, the preshow video and all of that is quite entertaining, but here too the lines are always long.
This ride was okay, I guess. It had a few thrills here and there, but the Delorean jerked around so much that I was lucky I didnt walk away with whip-lash. The main interest to me were the Delorean and the time-travelling train from the 3rd movie next to the ride.
My favorite in Universal, good story, not too rough but I cant believe how slow it loads. I dont know why everyone says its rough, I was able to take it in stride.
Ill give this ride a six because when I first went on it (92), it was like the coolest, most high-tech ride to date. When I went back two years ago, I rode it again, and this time I wasnt intimidated like I was at age 6. Even after 10 years, it was still a pretty cool simulator, with decent cinematography and well-coordinated movement. The ride is probably better than the movie.
I like this ride cause its a classic and one of the original simulator rides. Its showing its age and needs a new film, but still a good ride for new visitors. Pretty soon, the "future" on the ride will be now!! Hope Universal has a plan. Whatever you do, watch out if you ride in the back, it hurts and will ruin th rest of your day if youre not careful!
So im riding this the second time i went to the park with two people who get motion sick. They have gotten sick on almost every sim we have been on, but they are trying to not ruin the day. So needless to say my guy friend is a little on edge. We sit down, strap in and the doors open. Pow this kid just starts howling. I mean it is just unbelievable. If youve read my other reports i cant stand parents who put kids on rides against the warnings. so im mad at his parents, but my friend is just cussing up a storm about this kid. The two people instantly get sick and my friend is at an anger level seldom seen. Then the dinosaur parts set the kid into hyper drive. My friend snaps and he is like shut the @#$%$$ up. Im laughing so hard i cant hardly see. So when the ride ends we cant wait to see this kid. The little kid is like 13 or 14 and perfectly normal I just about died. If your kid is crying at the age of 14 on the back to the future ride you may have raised him just a little too soft. Hysterical, i dont talk to any of those 3 people anymore but the story still makes me smile.
I was really surprised at how cool the ride was, it is better to sit in the back of the car where all you can see is the screen so it feels more like your in those sceens.
Nothing much to say about this ride. It is fun for your first or second time but it can get boring. At anytime in the movie you can look over and see you havnt gone anywhere. I wouldnt recommend it for small children. My little sister bumped here head on the side when she was younger and of course she didnt enjoy the rest. Still a nice simulator though.
