I still like this ride since it has an amazing ability to show all the effects and destruction and then reset in a minute or two. I can still remember boarding that first subway train
Please remain seated, AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
it is a pretty good ride but the show before it is fun because actual ordinary people particapate.
cool, but like everybody said, short.the water and heat was to bomb
special effects were not bad at all, the truck and the water were great, could have been much longer though
Great should have been longer
It wasnt long enough to me...Although it did have some nice special effects.
Only average if not worse. I think Im being pretty nice giving it a 5. The preshow is terrible but I thought that the actual ride part was pretty cool. If youre visiting you might as well visit this one since its on the slightly upper end of the studios spectrum.
What is it with attractions named The Big One? Earthquake contains what is officially the most stunted and un-believeable "animatronics" on any attraction, including Disaster Transport. From the periodic 3 second delay for the oil tanker to the pathetic shuddering of the floorboards, Earthquake is just horrible. At least the Tiki birds back in the 60s were smooth.
I enjoyed the first preshow where they destroyed that tiny city. They could have left out the second preshow though. The ride itself houses some pretty nifty efx. Considering this ride resets every couple mintutes it is pretty amazing. The ride portion of Earthquake is slightly better than Catastrophe Canyon at MGM, but the rest of the tour at MGM is better.
Would have been better without the preshow thing. Tells you everything youre about to do is fake. Takes away the fun of imagination.
