One of my favorite rides at Canobie. Although Ive never understood the storyline of it altogether, it is still a high-quality ride, with the usual Canobie effort in detail and such. Some cool ideas with the waterfall and the falling boulder make this ride stick out from others. I wish the line moved faster, cause this thing always has a huge line in the summer, but I guess theres not much you can do. The ride ops for this always have seemed to be a little lazy and I would have liked to see them make more of an effort to keep things moving faster, though. But all in all, a great dark ride.
Im ok with the mummy thing, they said not to go too far, and clearly we did; all the way to Egypt, or any other ancient civilization that mummified people, it never says were in Egypt per-say. Okay thats as much as I can take, it doesnt really work. I could justify it, but Im not really a fan of that part of the ride. Nice effects, though some could be updated. The track is too easily seen, perhaps a change in lighting as well. Nice job good effects, so close to being perfect. I dont skip this ride. Nice tribute to the good ol days of pretzel dark rides.
I was very impressed with this dark ride and was pleased at how it still managed to pay tribute to the dark rides of long ago even though it is quite modern. The stunts werent the greatest, but they werent cheesey like many modern ones are. I still prefer the older style though like at Knoebels. A dark ride gets much higher points if it can scare me!
Its a dark ride, so it gets points for that. However it is not really dark, and not scary... and the Egyptian Toomb seems out of place. This would not be noticable on some dark rides (Knoebels Haunted Mansion) where it is a hodgepodge of stunts, but on ones that attempt to be themed and tell a story it is . On the bright side, every thing was well maintained and all stunts worked and looked good.
The whole family can ride this and enjoy it. The randomness of the theming confuses me, though. I wouldnt say that its a scary dark ride.
This is one of my favorite rides. Its so unique, you know? Its definitely got the quality of a Disney ride (I would even argue that its better than most) and I even think its a little scary. Sure, you might ask yourself "What are we doing in a mummys tomb?" at one point in the ride, but who really cares? Its just a ride, not a justifiable portrait of truth.
A fun darkride with a great theme. There are some good special effects, especially for a smaller park. Towards the end, the story is kind of lost when we go from a mine to a tomb halfway around the world, but its still a fun ride.
A good family ride. Not that scary. There are some themeing issues like suddenly entering a egyptyan tomb.
This ride is really good. Not scary, but still fun. Ive been going to this park for years and this ride is always good. Good one for the kids.
Ok...This ride is odd...We are In a NE Mine right?..all of a sudden we are being chased by a Mummy because we invaded his Tomb...Well, isnt that well thoughtout. Still fun though, and has some nice Effects. This one time a few years ago when I rode, the Waterfall didnt stop..Came off soaked, the Workers didnt have much else to say besides "UHH??" It gets a 7 for its effort.
