I got sort of wet on the ride so it was a slight thrill. But if you are looking to get drenched...skip the ride and stand on the bridge, it pounds water on you so hard that it is difficult to stand up straight...it is quite an experience.

The Tidal Wave seats riders in a large boat and first sends them through a few minutes worth of scenery, then mounts them up a lift, and down a gigantic drop. Personally, I dont find it to be worth the wait. If your goal is to get wet, and most likely soaked, and you like drops, ride this ride. (Or, if the line is too long, just stand on the bridge. Its quicker). If you prefer a more exciting and less wet ride, still with a big drop, choose the log flume. If you want to get soaked AND have a lot of fun, Congo River Rapids is the best choice.

I like this ride, not as good as Jurassic Park though...the themeing is good though and you do get wet.

I wuz so hot when I went to BGT and this did just the job to cool me off! Nice scenary and a great final drop w/ a huge splash! Tip: If you sit in the front right your whole leg will get soaked after you climb the lift hill and go into a little river trench thing that leads to the drop! Waves are created when you float in it and water always caves in on that particular side!

Does what it is supposed to do. Get you wet.
The ride is gay until the end.

Tips:
1. If wearing shoes, sit up front and put your feet in the nose of the car.
2. Make sure you have a full (full sized adults) car so you can get max splash damage. The more weight, the more water.
3. Lean forward when you are done climbing and falling into the tank before you even get to the drop, and the person sitting in the front right will ALWAYS get soaked because it comes up on that side.

This ride is better than shoot-the-chutes at other parks because it isnt just a climb the lift and then drop ride. Its got some nice scenery and then a really fun drop. If you really want to get soaked stand up on the bridge for a couple more boats.

A little slow at the start...but well themed. The drop makes the whole ride, though! Fun and very wet!

If you want soggy shoes and wet clothes the whole day, hit this. If not, take the covered bridge and watch the riders suffer!!!!
