Except for one small drop, this ride just kind of cruises along too slow, and IoA just tried too hard to find cheap ways to drench you, like pouring it on top of the whole boat with a ship that pours water. It would have been a much better ride if the rapids actually got you wet.
That was just my experience, it could be different for everybody, depending on where you sit.

My favorite water ride ever. You get SOAKED!!! great theme, great rapids. Not only are therewaves in your face, but jets everywhere! It fun seeing whos gonna get the jet. Very fun but please, Ripsaw Falls, ride it in the summer.

The greatest rapid ride in the world, everyone gets soaked, nice cool off and exciting and quite fast a somepoints!

Awesome raft ride. Really cools you off on a hot summer day. Between Ripsaw and Bilge rat, Bilge rat takes the cake. The line however does move slowly.

I had heard good things about this ride and I watched the Popeye cartoon as a kid, so I knew I would enjoy any theming present on this ride. I like water rides, but the rides I had ridden in my lifetime before this ride never seemed to do that good of a job getting everyone on the raft good and wet. I was expecting this ride to be similar, until I actually got on a raft and saw other seasoned riders in a mad scramble to get all of their belongings into the compartment provided to keep things dry. At this point I got excited that I might be on a real good water raft ride. I was not disappointed. The theming is good. The ride has a large variety of elements to keep riders entertained and most importantly wet. Non riders can pay to spray, although it is not at all necessary, since the rest of the ride is exellent at getting and keeping you wet. There are a few areas where it looks like you may get a chance to dry off, but there is always some element that quickly ends any hopes that you have. This ride is the wettest thing going. When I got off my raft, everyone aboard was drenched. Im talking wring out your underwear, soaking wet. Now thats a real water ride!

The ride is so crazy almost steal the fun of itself, but still wroth a Ten. I have to say if you do not like being wet, you probably will hate it this ride. But the most incredible part of this ride is it really capture the essence of what "raft ride" should be. The spining effect, loads of wave and turbulence can take you down so hard that you should reconsdier wearing anything expcet the swimsuit before steping into the ride. In the summer time this will be the ride that make your day.

The best water ride ever the theming is excellent and the car wash bit is great its also a good way to cool down from the hot Florida sun as you get absoutley soaked

My favorite water ride. I know that Dudley Do-right is typically considered better, but it just doesnt get you quite as wet and this one is laughs from beginning to end. The ride starts off great with a little drop into the rapids that starts the soaking. That start is pretty much how the rest of the ride goes. Its getting sprayed, small drops, dipping the raft edge into the rapids, and laughs from the theming start to finish. I thought that that the lift mechanism was the end of the ride, but you still have another section of complete soaking. For my dollar, this is as good as water rides get. I didnt see a single person getting off that wasnt able to wring water out of their clothes.

When they said "you WILL get wet", I just thought "Ok, well probably get a little wet"
How wrong I was. We got drenched. You spend most of the ride looking out for the many ways that water can be poured over you. Not to mention the people shooting you with water cannons.
Brilliant fun and a great way to cool off!
