A real fun coaster. I prefer the back row for a great drop after the stall on the second time up the back spike.

I think V2 is a nice addition to SFGA. I rode Wicked Twister at Cedarpoint before I rode V2 and I liked WT better. V2 is fun also and even though the two coasters look similar they offer differnt experiences. I thought V2 was little more intense, but I didnt really like the stall on the back spike. In my opinion it messed up the flow of the ride. Its not too comfortable being swung backwards and then all of a sudden stop on the way down. Other than that I enjoyed it.

an awesome ride incredibly fast and intense its cool on the last time you go up the back and then it suddenly stops then gos real fast giving you airtime and feeling like it just broke!!! and the high piched sound when you launch is cool!
i liked deja-vu more though

This ride is awesome! No matter how many time you watch that train fly through the ride cycle,it still makes your blood run cold. By the time you pull yourself into the blue bucket seat, pull down the harness, and fastenj your seatbelt, your hands are so sweaty with fear that its hard to get a firm grip on the handles. Thumbs up, heads against the headrests. A ghostly voice mumbles "Prepare to launch" as if its no big deal, but to us in the train, we know we only have three more seconds to live. 3..2..1.. BAM! The train shoots out of the station, LIMs and passangers screaming alike. We rocket up into the twisted first tower and get a little twist but nothing major. We rocket back through the station getting another boost from the LIMs and launch up the vertical tower at an alarming rate. Soaring back down we head once more through the station. Were now flying at the coasters scorching speed of 70 m.p.h. This time we climb the first tower much higher than before offering the entire train at least 1 full spin. Back through the station and up the vertical tower. We reach the top of the tower enjoying the zero-gravity float and prepare to dive...but we dont. A powerful set of brakes holds the train and its passengers staring straight back at terra-firma. From the ground it looks bad, but from 185 ft. in the air, its utterly terrifying. It holds you there for a split second and then drops you back toward the ground, through the station and then only about halfway up the twisted first tower. You fall back into the station and hit the brakes. Exhilerating is the only word for it.

This ride starts off with a baang, and there is no time to think about it. Once it brings you up the cork screw then back to the other tower it is going 70 mph and burning g forces. It is intense until the last second. The only bad thing is it is too short at 50 sec. The shortest time for a roller coaster at six flags great america. The ride is a ten. It just beats raging bull but comes short of deja vu.

Ummmm, i have been on this ride and i have been on Wicked twister at cedar point...on these inpulse coaster..the bottom line is it depends on where u are sitted..if u want a thrill head to the back..the back is better then the front by far...since i was sitted in the back of V2..it was very enjoyable and fun...and if ur in the back..u will love when it stops at the top..its a good ride

It is an impulse, what can I say. It has its plusses, the towers but it has its minuses, the launches are a little ho hum. But the holding brake is a lot of fun. The three impulses Ive ridden , V2, Superman Ultimate Escape and Wicked Twister are all as good as ther other. SUE and V2s best parts arent on Wicked Twister and WTs best part isnt on SUE or V2.

I like boomerangs better than impulses. This was not bad though. The back spike is kind of fun. I do prefer all the other coasters in this park.

this is an alright ride, the sound when the ride launches just pisses me off for some reason and i close my ears but once ur on it and you hear the operator say "clear for launch" you know you will be going from 0-60 in about 4 seconds and then comes the launch which is the best part in my opinion, be careful, if your gonna ride, make sure your head is on the headrest at launch because if not, then you will get a headache when it launches, i learned this the hard way

V2 is a great coaster which should not be missed. The best time to ride Vertical Velocity is first thing in the morning or within 1:30 of park closing. In the morning you could expect to be able to marathon around 5 times in a row. (2 seats per row.)The harnesses are small so if you are not sure about being able to fit, dont hesitate to ask an attendant if you can test a seat.
