I rode this one two times in a row, once on the Tiger, once on the Lion. I loved it both times. I got amazing air time! The drop even though only 94 feet seems like 1,000,000,000,000,000 feet because it goes straight down and then makes a little curve. I got totoaly freaked out on the tiger because it was a little more intense. It was pretty scarry even for me (and ive been on A LOT of coasters). This coaster not only made me nervous but it also made me appreciate the amazing structure and quality of this ride. I went on the bolder dash a couple of weeks ago and that was sooooooooooooo lame compared to this. It also had horrific bumps and bangs. The drop was bigger, but it was not nearly as exiting or even close to as scarry. This roller coaster was truly awesome. I LOVED THE GWAZI! But it was VERY intense.
This is a great wooden coaster. The speed mixed with the drops, and sudden turns makes this ride great. Also the near misses with the other train is a great aspect as well.
A very nice woodie, but it seems like it never races. Gwazi usually doesnt have a long line.
This was a good Woodie. Not really high, but it was a dualing wooden coaster with 6 near misses! The theming in the line was good, and i liked the station
Im not a big fan of wooden coasters, but I must say Gwazi was a very good one. It was pretty fast and VERY long. Some surprisingly good airtime too. Simple but good theming and a large capacity. The dueling aspect wasnt that great but was still pretty cool in terms of layout. I like Gwazi Lion a little better than the tiger. However they are pretty similar. Helps that it is at a very good park in Busch Gardens Tampa.
Awesome roller coaster. This coaster would be fun if it were by itslef. But the fact that it is "dueling" or "battling" with the lion coaster makes it even better.
The line for Gwazi varied when I went, it was longer in morning to midday, but by the end of the day it was virtually non-existant. Both tracks have an excellent first drop, but both are very rough rides. If you can get past the roughness, though, you will find a very unique and fun ride in Gwazi. Unfortunately, the park rarely ever Duels the two sides any more, so the full experiance is rare, but even by itself Gwazi is alot of fun to experience. Worth at least one ride on each track, although the park only opens both tracks when there are fair crowds (or so ive heard).
This is a fun roller coaster, especially in the back seat. The first drop is really fun and you get plenty of airtime in the back. Due to a confusing split in the line, everybody always ends up on Lion, so the line for tiger is always shorter. I love the insane amount of twisted track on this ride, it keeps you really disoriented and lost inside the jungle of wooden supports. However, when compared to other GCI coasters, Gwazi doesnt shine, Its still o great ride though
This is a great roller coaster. But the wait at times can be very long! Takes for ever to get on. But if u do go to Bush Gardens ride the Gwazi.
If you are at Busch Gardens, then you have to ride this ride! The Tiger side is better than the Lion; it is smoother and faster. The Lion has more bumps and is jerkier. Ironically, the line for the Lion is almost always longer, due to the confusing split in the queue line. If you can only ride once, definetly pick the Tiger, it makes for a much better ride.
