Talk about intensity! The Hurricane is the most intense coaster Ive ever ridden (even more intense than TTD or Alpengeist), for the lateral and negative gs are almost too powerful. The first 110 ft drop is amazing, and the two enormous helixes are simply breathtaking. The bunnyhops leading into the station at the end of the ride are phenomenal. A definite must ride at one of the best oceanfront amusement parks in America!

A fun ride, but whose wise idea was it to have Gerstlauers? The helices are crazy, and the last ejector bunny hill is great, but, all those laterals hurt with those dang trains. A good ride, but it isnt the best coaster, and it isnt very rerideable.

Its rough as hell, but I loved it. It is sure to shake you up more than your average woodie, but somehow that made me like it more. I particularly like the headchopper airtime towards the end of the ride where it dives back down into its own structure. Brace yourself and enjoy the ride.

THIS WAS SUCH AN AWESOME RIDE! The only thing i did not like was the restraints, but still, it was an awesome ride.

Extremely good coaster for a small park. Great drops and turns. If you are in the Myrtle Beach area, ride this coaster. A good replacement for the less than average Corkscrew that used to be here.

The is a very underrated coaster!! I was very impressed with it. Great drops and speed, nice airtime. Good length. A little bumpy but thats ok.

this is one very under rated woodie, prolly cuz its in such a small park. my review is based on one ride in the back seat at night time. the atmosphere was great, completely surrounded by the lights of the city of myrtle beach. i got incredible air on the 1st and 2nd hills. some really nice helixes and headchoppers. an intense ride up to the end. if you go on vacation to myrtle beach, YOU MUST RIDE THE HURRICANE!

The Hurricane ROCKS ! This is not your Mommas woodie. Great first drop, excellent speed and helix city make for a very exciting thrill ride. This is the best coaster ride Ive had in a long time. Little or no waiting time make it even better.

My reaction to this ride can be summed up in one word: OWW! What could be a middling to good out and back is marred by those horrible Gerstlauer trains.

Hurricane is a suprisingly exciting ride. It has tons of helixes and great airtime....Its not good enough for a ten but its still a great ride. It also is in one of my favorite areas of South Carolina.
