The launch is good. Theming is cool. Music is superb. However, its too short. And there isnt any excitment except for the launch. Not the best launch Ive been on, but rock&roll sound track deserved an 8.
This was a shocker to me because for a Vekoma its a smooth ride and i was impressed.
Awesome, Awesome ride! The launch is my favorite part. Again, the themeing is unbelievable and I like how your supposed to be in a limo and you pull right up to the show if you will.
I was going through my ride tracker, catching up on my reviews and updating them and I noticed I didnt review Rock n Roller Coaster...or any MGM Studios rides for that matter, well, here it (and the others) are.
To tell you the truth, RnR was kind of a let down for me. I still found the coaster to be great, more specifically the launch section, but it didnt live up to the expectations I had at the time. I love indoor coasters, they give you a feel of going fast and are usually intense rides. RnR after the first 2 inversions, felt like a really slow ride. It just...plain and simple, felt slow, there is no other way to describe it. However, the fact that Aerosmith is playing behind you makes you forget about that as your riding, and helps make up for it.
Leave time in your day to experience the Rock n Roller Coaster! This is truly a unique coaster in many ways. Number one: Its enclosed. Number two: There is Aerosmith music pounding in your ears. Plus, this ride is overly smooth!
This was an awesome coaster. The music and theming was great. It was fast also it is one of my favorites at MGM its a must ride. I also liked Tower of Terror.
An excellent ride! 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds feels...well, well leave you to find that out. The preshow and queue were done pretty well, too. I gave it a 9 because there is only 3 inversions. Definataly a Do-Not-Miss-Ride!
an average launch coaster at best in terms of the ride. Its fun but moves to slow. However, the wonderful theming and incorporation of music greatly enhances the ride. I can see how novice coaster riders (and even some more experienced) could love this ride. The coaster itself pales in comparision to my favorite indoor coaster Flight of Fear.
The scenery and themeing inside the ride was cool, and the name and the pre-ride went well together; overall though, it didnt fit together for me. The coaster was pretty fun with a nice launch, though I must tell you I do prefer a lift (though a high speed indoor coaster with a lift doesnt sound like a great idea.) Anyway nice ride, theme didnt fit together for me.
Good ride (for an indoor coaster), good preshow, and good theming. Still, it lacks the punch of Space Mountain (which is a slightly better indoor ride) and pales in excitement compared to the bigger outdoor coasters at other parks.
