Great drop ride! Blows those basic pieces of crap out of the water. The 2nd best ride at MGM.

Random drops are great, theming is great, and its nice to have a freefall ride where you have more than a couple seconds of airtime. Lines are frustratingly slow at times though.

AMAZING theming. The preshow is great and creates a theme of fantasy in my mind. The scenery is spooking and intimidating. The line moves fast. As you get in the elevator, it shoots up and doors open. Nothing but a hallway in front of you that seems to go a long way. Visual effects? I cant tell! then the doors shut again. I dark pause makes you feel it broke. Then the next opening is a room of dark mirrors. The elevator comes out of the shaft and moves through the room. It goes through a black wall. The doors open... AHHHH!!! the drop is awesome! I saw my pins around my neck lift up. Its a totalsurprise everytime. I rode this 3 times in one day. When its over, the elevator backs out of the shaft in the basement and you have a little more of the movie to see and then you exit. Truly incredible ride. Just hope you get to drop from the 13th floor to the 1st floor -you never know!

The theming on this is outstanding, but the ride wasnt as exciting as I had hoped. The suspense was masterfully built up in true Hitchcockian fashion, but the random ride I received fell short. I swear I didnt drop any more than 3 stories in any given drop. This attraction would be better if it dropped you from the very top after the series of random drops. The drops I got were too short, and lines were too long to reride that day. Ill bump this thing up a point or two if I get a better ride next time.

This ride is so good that no more words need to be said. The only reason that it didnt get a 10 from me casue I was terrified to death that I almost hate this ride. But the entire experience is worth a trip to Orlando. Dont ride if you cant handle free fall.

from england and we DO NOT have great rides like this....I was soooo scared I grabed a stranger next to me as we fell. Just standing outside hearing people scream and then get eaten by the elevator created so much tension.

I agree with pretty much everyone else who has posted a review for this beast. Best drop ride EVER. The theming is awesome, there just so much to look at. I love watching the Twilight Zone whenever its on Sci-Fi, and its pretty cool to "enter a show" for yourself. They change the dropping sequence every so often, so your next ride may be different than what you remember. I have only been on it a couple of times, each ride on the same day so I have no idea how much it has changed since my ride. Disney definatly knew what they were doing when designing this.

Best drop ride, hands down. The effects on this ride are amazing, very well done. Its a shame Disney slacked off when building the other ToT rides by not adding all of the effects. After this anything less, let alone everything they left out in the others, would seem not nearly as good.

Holy freakin CRAP!!! I love this ride! When I went back to Disney MGM in 1998, i rode this and I loved dropping down and going up and doing it again. If you like freefall rides, ride this one ASAP!

Currently, the best ride of its kind in the world. The most thrilling ride at any Disney park in Florida, although I have not ridden Expedition Everest, yet. The theming is fantastic and the creepy elevator operator ride ops are cool. The random drop sequences can be genius. The windows opening to the outside in the middle of the ride so passers by can hear the screams from inside and the riders can look outside and appreciate the height of the ride, are creativity at its finest.
