Insanity; thy name is Cornball Express! I FINALLY was able to go to Indiana Beach today and CB was my first coaster ride of the day. It was instant airtime from the first twisted hill, plus it was surprisingly smooth (for a wooden coaster). Made all the better by the Buzz Bars (single lap bars) so my butt left the seat each hill. This is one of my new favorites!

Great ride although I prefer wood supports I found this to be one good airtime packed coaster.

This incredible ride came as a complete surprise to me. It doesnt look like much, but it packs the best ejector air Ive ever encountered. The airtime on the third drop is positively breath stealing. The back seat is the best ride to me, but the front isnt shabby either. The middle is somewhat boring, avoid it. This ride really must be ridden again and again to fully appreciate the genius of it. Fortunately, theres almost never a line. I was able to reride it virtually indefinitely without even having to wait for a single run of the train to go. The ride ops are a bit grouchy on the Cornball Express, and they wont let you "wait for special seats". This is stupid, but it does process the line through quickly, which is especially important with single train operation.
Update: I got several rides on this over the past weekend during ERT sessions. Cornball is still running great. There is a rough spot at the bottom of the first drop, but its not a big deal. The ride tracks extremely well everywhere else. CCI and IB really nailed it with this project. This just goes to show that you dont have to build a massive coaster to have a great ride, especially where wood is concerned.

Just plain awesome, the best wood in the state to me (quite an accomplishment!). First drop: great air. Second drop: nice air. Little dip into the turn: weird air. Next drop: crap yourself air. And the ride continues to go on like that... airtime galore (buzzbars help that sensation) and a layout that provides a great ride with a mix of cool inter-weaving through the park. Hershey the best at utilizing space? Nuh-uh, IB is even better. Cornball is just unspeakably awesome, the only things that I didnt care for was the single train (oh well, it wasnt a long wait anyways) and the helix which I think should have been dropped a bit to make the train fly through quikcer - if possible of course, as I didnt pay close enough attention to see if a pre-existing structure prohibited such possibility. Oh, but at least that set up a nice ramp for another insane air hill. Top 5 wood for me

This is a great ride. It is tons of fun...I love this ride because they crammed it in such a small area. You get lots of airtime and the ride seems to be very fast. This is a really great ride, in an amusement park that prides itself on "old" famiy fun

When this coaster was being constructed, it was being billed as a "family coaster". Well, I have to say that this mean, wicked little beast is in my top ten coasters of all time due to its fun and exicting twisting track. I love this ride!

This is one wild coaster. Its not the longest, its not the tallest, but it certainly delivers. The air in the back seat is great... expecially on the drop just as the train comes out of the helix... make sure that seat belt is tight on this drop... with buzz bar restraints, you will be glad that the belt is holdling you in.

This ride is totally freaking amazing. My favorite ride, Cornball Express really delivers in the airtime category. The laterals may not be like Legend or Raven, but the airtime is much more intense, aided by the wonderful buzzbars. It really is difficult to put the feeling of this awesome airtime into words; its just that good. The first drop: Wow. In the backseat here, you are really thrown up and out the side of your seat, as you experience intense air and laterals. The next hill/fan turn provides an odd feeling going up, but again you are hit with air and lats as you descend. You then ascend to the next turnaround, where you get a bit of air before the turn. You round the Tigrr coaster, then are hit with the best air on the ride. The train throws you out of your seat, just under the steel support beams above. After that, you get another nice spot of air before the nicely intense helix, which ends in two quick bunny hops that give more ejector airtime before you pull into the station.

The Corn Ball Express is a wood roller coaster. It was built in 2001 by CCI. It is 55' tall, it is 2,100' long. It is fun, rerideable, fast, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.

another woodie that you have to ride over and over to fully appreciate it. I knew I would be giving this ride at least a 9 after the first ride but wasnt convinced to give it a ten until the 6th of 8 rides. Out of control but not rough even though it provides plenty of air and lateral gs. How many other wooden coasters provide two great moments of air of this magnitude on the last seconds of the coaster heading back into the station.
