I recently returned to Cedar Point after a 33 year absence. At that time, the Blue Streak was the only roller coaster of any size and I rode it 21 times in a single day. I loved it. Upon returning in May of 2002, I chose to ride the old girl first and found that it was just as much fun as I had remembered. I later rode it again right after experiencing Millenium Force, and I still found Blue Streak to be a ton of fun. She may not be the tallest ride in the park, but Blue Streak continues to offer incredible air time in a well-conceived coaster. Ill take it over Gemini or Mean Streak any day. If you love coasters, youve got to give this thing a whirl.
A good old woodie that is still thrilling. Although this is a small wood coaster, there is nice airtime on the hills. Its a classic coaster thats worth a ride.
Its a fun ride. The bunny hop after the first hill gives some air. Its pretty tame - low speed turns - but thats what it was designed for - to take the whole family on, and it meets the design.
This is a pretty good ride, but nothing exceptional. I do like a good woodie (as is shown by my favor for the Coney Island Cyclone and Hershey Parks Lightning Racer) but this ride is just good. Thats it, not ok, not great - good. Its fun, and definitely a muist ride for someone who is already at Cedar Point, but dont go there just to ride this.
I love woodies anyway and this one is fun. I love to ride it multiple times during a visit.
Great air, not very rough. Another coaster that is just plain fun (especially when you are the only one on the ride just before park closing).
Certainly better than Mean Streak. Cedar Point seems to have made it as hidden as possible, buried in the shadow of Raptor. This is a great classic and deserves more attention.
When I rode the 2nd time my seat belt undid itself! need I say more?
A nice relaxing coaster with good Pops of air-time in all the rows. Good coater to ride with the whole family.
Now I know its cool that 1- this ride is usually a walk on and 2- the airtime on Blue Streak is great but can someone tell me HOW it got into our Top 10 at Cedar Point? Its short and not really that thrilling. Is it because its a classic. Is it airtime. What Is It?
6/20/02- In fact, I just thought about Blue Streak again and decided to knock it down another spot. How about that?
