The beginning ascension up the incline at the start prepares the riders for a thrilling forward and backward ride. This is a classic boomerang loop coaster. The proximity of the ride to the others on the pier makes it seem like you are going to smack into something else. Nothing too intense. Simple twisted loop coaster fun.
This boomerang felt more intense than others I have been on. Always a fun ride even though they are all over the place
Good ride the backward return is really cool
this is a good boomerang, the best boomerang ive been on , it is the smoothest because of the new trains, it has become one of the best boomerangs in my opninion but im sure there could be better ones out there
This is a great Vekoma Boomerang coaster. It was the first Boomerang in the US actually when it opened in 1984. Even after all those years its still really, really smooth; thanks to a new train that is. It also has gotten faster during the single loop I think. I also love how loud it is racing through the station brakes in the end. The color scheme is pretty bland, sort of an off white with turquoise(?) supports, yet its suitable for the coaster.
Its a good ride for a little park like wildwood, its also fun cuz it goes backwards, real nice.
i like this coaster. the only thing i dont like about it is going up the first lift hill that starts the ride. the last time i rode it, i felt like i was seriously falling out and my feet practically were out of the train because of the steepness of the hill.
This is your basic Boomerang, but it is a little more exciting because of the nearness of everything else. Instead of being by itself (as they are in large parks), it loops around all the other rides, making for a scarier coaster. An interesting side note...This was one of the first roller coasters with a theme and logo, even though there isnt much of a theme.
Your standard Vekoma Boomerang. I am not very fond of these as that backward climb up the "lifthill" scares me. I am afraid of heights and this style of coaster is one of the few that make me nervous. On the "backward" trip home to the station I was worried that it was not going to make it through the final inversion, it was going that slow. (5/31/2003 update) This coaster now seems to be much rougher than it was 2 years ago. Normally I can handle front seat rides on Boomerangs, but Sea Serpent gave me a slight headache that nearly put me down for the rest of the day.
Great boomerang. The lines arent bad. The loops backward and forwards make you want to go on it one more time. I love this coaster and it should maintain a great ride at Wildwood for a long time.
