Pretty cool for a small wooden coaster. I like the layout, and it has a bit of zing to it. Fun ride, but not worth a long wait.
Simple and fun. It packs a punch for such a small coaster. Its not great, but its satisfying. Worth going on because the line is never very long.
Nice ride. Not too thrilling. I wouldnt wait in a long line for it, but full of surprises. A good wooden coaster for people who have never been on a roller coatser before. Thunderbolt is a popular ride for pretty much any age
.
It is a very nice woodie with nice airtime and surprises (especially the dips at the end, I nearly wet myself LOL) I would definatly ride this over Flashback or Cyclone, but not Mind eraser, Batman or Superman
Not the best woodie i have riden but it always makes mr laugh. It is smooth and has some air time too.
*Edit* It is not smooth but is still GREAT! *Edit*
A classic. It is neither big nor fast, but the Thunderbolt never fails to put a smile on my face.During the Riverside era, you could get a good view of the stock cars burning rubber around the old NASCAR short track as the Thunderbolts train click-clacked up the lift hill. Sadly Six Flags removed the racetrack when they expanded the park. But Im glad to see they held onto this old gem of a coaster.
What a surprise this coaster was! I really didnt think it was going to be anything good but this is a very nice classic woodie. It has speed, has airtime and was just an overall fun experience.
I didnt enjoy this ride at all I think it was built really bad and it was not thrilling at the the first drop was really small and after the first drop it hurts...and also the ride itself it very slow...I dont think it was worth the 1/2 hour wait.
It looks like a dull, standard coaster. But actually, its more than that. I was surprised to find a ride with nice airtime and the good double dip. It gives a fun ride.
Similar to the like-sized Wildcat at Lake Compounce, Thunderbolt is a surprisingly good woodie. The cars flex from side-to-side on the lift hill and at some parts of the ride, which is disconcerting. The backseat has good airtime and the ride is surprisingly wild. However, a reride in a middle seat was less exciting.
