UPDATE- It didnt break down this time. Two trains running, great ride, 45 min wait, and well worth it. Amazing track design, cool misters, great ride.----
Good ride, but it broke down TWICE once I got on the platform resulting in additional 47 minute wait. Once the back restraints wouldnt open, then they were about to send the ride, but the chain was not working properly, makes you wonder...
This was terrible. A lot worse than what my expectations were. This was even worse than millennium force, and this doesnt even compare to Nitro. I felt like i was about to die when i flew out of the seat, and i didnt like that.
The hype for this ride was definatley too much, (as was Batman; The Dark Knight). I spent about 30 minutes waiting in line (which is not that long), and sat in the second car. The way youhear people screaming during the drop uneases you, but once you are on - you are ready to go. The drops are fantastic as are the turns & mist tunnel. Advice: Dont go on with too high of an expectation; youll be dissapointed unless you are a huge fearer of heights and speeds.
A great hypercoaster. The whole ride has everything that you want- negative and positive Gs, a nice drop, and the high speed.
This ride was fast, and heart pounding from start to finish. The anticipation on the lift hill is unbelievable and the lake directly on the side of you also gives it all a great affect.
What a rush... from the first drop to the last bunny hill, this ride does not stop its constant barrage of airtime, g-forces, and extreme speed untill the train pulls back into the station. Intamin has done more than succeded with this coaster, they have created a masterpiece worhty of the highest praise. Whereas many hyper and giga coasters pride themselves mainly on their first drop, Superman proves that there can be more, much much more, to a coaster then its opening three seconds. After the first drop, instead of trying to loose its speed, it uses it to catapault its riders through huge hills, insane banked turns, and helicies that truly r0x0r my b0x0rs. As far as Im concerned, other parks can keep their "strata-coasters" and other such tomfoolery. Give me Superman any day of the week, thank you very much.
Wow. It never inverts, but still gives you serious airtime and the speed is huge. In the front row as we started going down the first drop I honestly thought "Where the heck is the bottom?!?" A ride well worthy of the man of steel.
After the winter i went to SFNE opening day, and the very first ride i went on was Batman:TDK, because i figured everyone was gonna head right towards this ride...which they did. i was not that impressed with Batman first ride of the season, but Superman...this is one of the absolute best hyper-coasters ever to be designed. I still dont think its the "number one coaster on the planet", but it comes close.
Best ride ive ever ridden. Im a huge fan of hyper coasters and this one beats all the others out. The first drop is great (especially in the front seat) and the hills provide plenty of air time.
No words can describe how much I love this ride. The GeForces, positive and negative, are excellent. There is also constant speed.
