I find it hard to rate this ride. Right now I would put this at a 5, because i thought it was boring. But then again it was made for kids, so of course a thrill seeker isnt going to love it. When I was a kid I LOVED Imagination. I rode this ride before I could even say Imagination (I was so little I used to call it "Imageration". Figment was great, and the little kid inside of me cant sit here and give it a low score because it didnt do anything for me as a 17 year old. Figment and the Imagination Institute is a classic dark ride at EPCOT, and I think its a spectacular ride for little kids. Its a little slow getting started, but once Figment takes over the tour everything is cute and funny. Plus, how can ou not like a ride with such a catchy song (again, in preschool I would come off of this ride singing "Imageration, Imageration, A dream can be a dream come true with you and me!" I dont know why it says on the top of this page that the ride may be unsuitable for young children, this ride was made for little kids, it really makes little kids eyes light up.

Figment is awesome. During parts of the ride you get smell certain things such as a skunk. It is really fun. Too bad, there wasnt a line. Please, dont take this out, Epcot.

I loved this ride with Dr. Nigel Channing (eric Idle) this attraction was really fun. But I still prefere when the Dreamfinder hosted the show.

I got to give my boy Figment a boost here. I think this ride is so cute, and Figment is by far my favorite. If you had rode the two before this one, you would definately give this a pretty good rating. The orginal was actaully pretty cute. But the Dreamfinder, my goodness, could anything be scarier then that man? There should have been a warning outside the building about the bearded man! Then the update was terrible because you saw Figment only once and he was was in a cluster of stars. Now the ride is cute... nothing spectacular (except the Figment giftshop) but really cute. I can see kids really liking it. I also like the fact that they no longer take your picture on this ride. I hated that! Anyway, the skunk room is cute, and Figment is in it a lot. I still was expecting to see Dreamfinder peeking around a corner just to freak me out!

Figment is one of my favorite lesser known disney characters. The ride is fun and the line is rarely long. However, if for some reason the line is long, Id just skip to the room that the ride releases people to (I dont know what those after-ride rooms are called). The building has some fun interactive things that will really amuse you.

Journey Into Imagination is a delightful and creative dark ride that literally appeals to all five senses! Anchoring the Imagination pavilion (which looks great and very sleek in my opinion with the futuristic pyramid look), Journey Into Imagination generally warrants a very brief wait (rarely over 10 minutes) because of the ride’s very fast loading and high capacity, and is certainly well worth the wait. Well the attraction is based around the Neil Channing’s beloved Imagination Institute and his attempts at sparking the imaginations of riders by utilizing each of the five senses. However, everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment, appears only to disrupt the tour, launching it into chaos and providing a one-of-a-kind and highly enjoyable experience.

Our tour of the imagination institute begins with the sound lab where Neil Channing’s tour thankfully is invaded by Figment who instantly begins terrorizing him by disrupting his tour, much to my delight. All of the sounds provided in this room are very loud, clear, and crisp, highlighted by the wonderfully well executed whistle of the train. Following this is the excellent sight room, where a vision test quickly becomes a game of scrabble for Figment. Then comes the well-executed smell lab which provides some pleasant smells like chocolate with some really foul smells like a skunk, and trust me, both were very realistic. Afterwards Figment has totally taken over the tour and literally turns the whole room upside-down with plenty of visual illusions like the amazing disappearing butterfly trick. Last comes the very entertaining finale with Figment totally unleashing his imagination showing many imaginative scenes of Figment just having fun.

The whole attraction really is a joyride from start to finish mixing comedy in with the simple good-nature of Figment just being contagious making the entire attraction refreshing and entertaining. All of the scenes are very well executed in my opinion and I especially love all of the animatronics and animations since they worked flawlessly in each of my numerous rides.

Now I have experienced all three versions of Journey Into Imagination, and I have to admit that this new one is my personal favorite, with the original garnering a very close second place. Quite frankly the second one, primarily due to its absence of Figment and it’s overall dull ride experience, was absolutely abysmal since it lacked the undeniable charm each of the other two versions provide. Because of the wonderful experience Figment and the unique attraction provides, in combination with the ride’s constantly short wait, definitely give Imagination a chance since it certainly will spark your imagination and make you come off in love with Figment and his manic antics.

An enjoyable ride for both little kids and adults, a great escape from the sun. Im sorry all you Figment-Lovers, but that song gets really annoying after a while.

Fun ride with nice Disney touches. I liked the movement of the cars, and the ride overall.

This 3rd version of the ride is by far the best version, in my opinion. I always liked Figment and the song, but the original was too outdated and boring. The first remake, without Figment or the song, was even worse. In this final version, it all finally comes together and combines the best of the previous 2 versions of the ride.
