This coaster looks gorgeous and prestigious, and it probably could be incredible fun ... if it werent for the EXTREME over-braking. I do understand trim breaks here and there on rides, they actually add to PKIs VORTEX and give riders a slight chance to breath on THE BEAST,but this is just silly. Evertime some good momentum gets built-up, its totally removed by the breaks. The helix couldhave been soooooooo great, but we came to a near complete stop before it even started, and the same thing two more times before the end of the ride. For crying out loud, let a big mean coaster BE a big mean coaster and let off on the brakes!!!! For all its proud glory in appearence and possibilities, Six Flags clipped the AMERICAN EAGLEs wings with trim brakes!
The Eagle is definately a classic, and its nice to see it run both ways. However, forward is still the way to go. The back is great once or twice, but it still doesnt top the front seat going forward. The bunny hills are fun but the helix is weak.
I Rode this this season and i forgot how much fun it is. I love the bynny hills. No trims on the helix!
Now that American Eagle has been retracked or something, its a lot smoother and more enjoyable than it used to be. Unfortunately, the trim brakes almost bring you to a dead stop 3 times throughout the ride. Its too bad, too, because the massive helix would be insane without them! Youd also get air time on the returning bunny hops. If they removed the trims, Id give it an 8.
very good coaster with lots of hills.
American Eagle is still a good coaster, with lots of fun hills and that rough first driop. Not much airtime though.
The best backwards. Its so freaky backwards, like u cant scream on the first hill.
This is a good ride and has stood the test of time. You still get some good airtime despite all of the braking. Even though I have been on this ride over 100 times I still look forward to riding it evey year. Im glad that they are going to run one side backwards this year, it is something that shouldnt be missed.
great lift time.that first drop always gets me.iv always ridden the blue train,it seems to keep some good momentum throughout the ride.
Im giving this a five. Id give red a two, blue an eight, so Im averaging. Blue was quite fun, with a couple of nice airtime moments. Red...was...erm...well it finished the circuit. Barely.
