Though many people dont like it, I love it. If it werent for Excalibur I would have been stuck riding High Roller my whole life with my friends laughing at me. Excalibur increased my courage for rollercoasters. If it werent for it, I would have never ridden Magnum XL-200.
this ride was an ok ride. i felt tiny air time on this ride. and this ride was kind of short. the lines r quite short though. i rode on this ride twice. the second time i rode the seats were wet. it was funny wen everybody groaned bout the wet seats. but this ride was ok.
A very good with great gs the Only drawback is it is a little short great ride though
By far my favorite ride in the park. Great airtime on the camel-back midway through. I love the feeling of coming down the hill in the front seat and flying along the flat section right before the high bank. It really helps that you can usually walk right on. Theres only a line on busy weekends (and when Wild Things chain breaks
).
Ive been on close to 80 coasters and this one still delivers the best moment of airtime Ive felt on any coaster. Ex runs wild and takes no prisoners. Ive been on the ride countless times and you kind of find a good comfortable way of riding it where I really never find it rough. My fave seat is very back and on the left hand side, but its all good.
Excalibur can be explained in two words in my opinion and here they are: Short, and Scary! The rides first drop of 105 ft is very rough and I love the feeling of the 4 gs or so pushing down on you. The is one of the most intense drops I have ever been on, steel or wood. The gs are in excess the whole ride. The only major drawback to the ride is its length. The ride is about 45 seconds long which cuts out on its fun factor. If the ride was say, as long as The Beast. Well if it continued its intensity throughout the ride then it would be an easy 10. I love roughness in a ride and thats why Excalibur gets a 7 and nothing less. If it were longer and built better than it would have an even better score. But Excalibur is my second favorite ride at Valleyfair only behind Steel Venom.
Ratings based on RCT Rating System:
Excitement: 4
Intensity: 8.5
Nausea: 7
This ride was so crummy. Its too short to enjoy, to rough to endure, and is too stupid:buck:to think about riding again.
The jerkiest ride i have ever been on. It was ok other than that. The first drop was intense, and the hills were fun, and the line was really short. It is certainly beaten by wild thing, steel venom, and power tower, but overall an okay ride. If youre lookin for classic wood coaster, save yourself the pain and hit high roller, but if youre lookin for intense, excalibur is defenitely much more intense. Of course, the other rides I mentioned are better, but if you go there, as might as well ride it.
Excaliber is truly what seems like a dangerous coaster. Its very rickety, yet fun. The most recent time i went on it, a lady in front of me got her lapbar down at the last minute, thanks to the attendent. Its filled with headchoppers galore! A great ride, but not for the faint of heart.
I normally do not care for the old wooden coasters, but this one will always be fun in my eye. I dont like the other wooden coaster at Valleyfair (High Roller) very much because its kinda bland, but this one has a larger drop, unexpected rough turns, and a lot of screaming people. I also like how its secluded from the rest of the park so youre a little ways out into the woods.
