Hmmm, the Whirlwind is a nice corkscrew roller coaster with a great setting. Not to painful but Id rather see it be replaced by a new Arrow looper.

An arrow corkscrew that is less painful than youd expect and somehow more appealing due to the execellent mature landscaping in and around the ride. (Walk on)

Ive got a particular attachment to this ride because it was my first upside down coaster. Saying that though I still wouldnt be that sad if Knoebels decided to replace it. It is kind of fun, but incredibly short. My cousins and I usually ride it whenever were there. Mostly because there arent any other loopers there. Knoebels might be better off to put something else here and devote land somewhere else to a better steel looper.

Knoebels should really think about reeplacing this thing. It is a poor looper at best, slow, short (thankfully), and painful. I dont like this one at all, and it is a poor steel compliment to Knoebels fantastic woodies.

UPDATE: I have found that if you go on this ride and know how to ride it, it is not so bad. I have found that by pushing yourself up in the inversions you can advoid the headbanging that makes this ride so rough. Eliminating the headbanging actually makes this a fun, though very short ride.

An alright vekoma corkscrew, with a small drop, a corkscrew, a high-banked turn, another corckscrew, a turn, and hit the brakes, its over. I like it better than the typical vekoma boomerangs, but its only worth one ride.

I just rode Whilrwind for the first time on the 30th of July. This was my first time to Knoebels and it was great. I did not like Whirlwind due to the normal Vekoma Headbanging. I rode this just to boost my coaster Count. This is nothing of what i am used to like here in vegas like the Desperado.

not such a great ride. i would suggest this for first timers on upside down rollercoasters. its not that big and isnt that fast. be careful on the lift hill..it hurts.

Its not a great ride but like many said, it doesnt hurt, and it was also my first upside down coaster so i kinda like it.

Alright, but too slow and boring.

The Whirl Wind is a short corkscrew coaster, odd for the fact that its two inversions are separated by a curve. Not very exciting and slow, at least it is not "painful" as some can be. Recommendation: Good if you want to pad your track record… other than that… if you have the time, take a spin, but dont wait in line too long (what am I saying… there is never a line for this one)
