The Power Surge was an excellent flat at Knoebels and its one of my favorite kind of flat rides. Located towards the front of the park, Power Surge is one of the first rides you encounter at Knoebels. With not many trees around Power Surge, its loops and twists off the ground look exciting. With a multi-colored paint job, Power Surge has good lights at night. Generally a walk-on because of a good capacity, Power Surge has two different directions you can face, forwards or backwards. I prefer riding facing backwards. Restrained by a somewhat uncomfortable, black, and very tight over the shoulder restraint you feel very secure. After checking the restraints Power Surge begins and slowly elevates its arm to its maximum height. Then Power Surge slowly spins inverting riders and allowing them to face the ground when they are hurled over the top, much like the sensation you get on a Zipper. Adding to the intensity are the cars because they swing side to side creating fun whips throughout the ride. Also, the rides base slowly rotates in a circle during the ride making the experience very disorienting. Because of its intensity, Power Surge doesnt have a very long cycle, but its satisfying. Overall, an outstanding flat ride that any thrill-seeker shouldnt miss. This was one of the most intense rides at Knoebels.

I enjoyed Power Surge a lot. My feelings went back and forth more than a basektball team with ball-handling deficiencies. At first, I saw it and was thinking that it would be a killer flat. Then, I saw it raise up and run, and was thinking to myself "thats it, it only goes that fast". Nevertheless I still rode, and realized it doesnt need to run too fast, it was still fun. Besides, it it ran as fast as I had envisioned I would have hemhorraged. Power Surge gave some good rotations, some great Gs and one spinning head. Pretty good flat, one of my favorites in the park.

This ride is a lot more tame than what it appears to be. It is still a cool ride experience, but not overly intense, which is ok but there is not that much that is really that much fun about it. That is just my opinion however. I was fliping and turning all over, and found myself facing the ground a lot on the down turn, but it was not that exciting. I like tame and relaxing rides once in a while (train, whip etc.) but I wasnt expecting it from this.

The Power Surge is probably one of my favorite non-coaster rides. I usually find myself hanging on to the harness because of thinking the unthinkable, even though I know the unthinkable is not likely to happen! It is a strange feeling, though, when you ride by yourself and the seat brakes unlock to gravity pull and even more strange when you look up and see the ground! My non-riding buddies can always pick out my scream!

I enjoyed this ride. Was a bit of a white-knuckler for me only cause of having your life depend on that harness. However, I couldnt stop laughing once it started. I still rotated even without someone filling the seat next to me.

A very, very fun ride. I thought that it would get me sick but I was fine. You never know whats going to happen next on this ride.

Make sure you empty your pockets. I think I lost about 2 bucks in change. The restraints are a bit rough. The ride will really throw you for a loop.

Good ride. Spins around alot. Good if you dont have another person in the seat next to you. Spin even more.

Probably my favorite flat ride at Knoebels. I love the way this thing flips when the chairs are equal... I didnt like it when i rode alone, because I rarely flipped, but it still is an awesome ride, and a great addition to Knoebels.
