Its' really awlsome but it will drop you and have you screaming like crayz
Drop Zone was fun like all Intamin drop towers, but not as good as others. This one wasnt nearly as tall as others. While the drop was still very thrilling and air-time producing, it wasnt sudden on this one because of a bang that I heard everytime before I dropped. Also, this one lacked any really good views.
The Drop Zone Stunt Tower is a drop tower/vertical tower. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration. It gives a good view of the park and good air time.
I rather like drop towers, but they are hard to rate. Once you have ridden one you have pretty much ridden them all. So you have to find other things to compare. For this one, it is in really bad shape. It needs paint, new seats, new railings, new lights, and new operators. One of torn up lights had a massive birdnest in it. I pointed it out, and they said "Never seen that". How could you miss it? It made me worry a little bit. But I survived. I couldnt show my worry too much because a hot girl sat down next to me so I had "man up". The drop was typical and over quick, on to other things.
Eh, and ok drop tower. It isnt that tall, and therefore isnt a long drop. Fortunately, I was able to walk on it, which is probably the only reason I rode because I simply dont "get" drop towers. This one was no different because it didnt thrill me either. If youve never been on one, its worth a ride I guess but its short length would, to me, be a waste of time if you had to wait more than 10 mins. The Sky Tower provided a better view of the park to me though.
Nothing as good as the Drop Zone towers at Kings Dominion and Kings Island, but it gave a good amount of force on the drop.
I really think it deserves a 9, I havent rode it in about a year, but It is awesome! You get a nice view of the park but it is slow on the way up, but scary on the way down! I enjoyed this and I think it is the best flat at Carowinds! The line usually isnt to long so if you go I advise you to ride Drop Zone!
The only positive aspect of this "ride" is the fact you can see a nice view of the south section of the park. It really dwarves The Hurler when your at the very top. Take a look, if you can concentrate on something other than the fact you are about to drop. Other than that, its just nothing spectacular. Plus, it wasnt too comfortable on the way down.
Feels bigger than it looks. It gives a nice rise out of your seat and a nice view of the park, but not the best drop tower.
The ride terrified me to death, I was too petrafied I couldnt enjoy the airtime. It is probably a great ride for people who arent scared of this type of ride.
