YYYYEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH!!!AWAWAWAWAWAWAWAW!!! That explains the first drop and turn on the lake of this coaster. It is horrible, painful, agonizing. Words cannot describe it. This coaster has never been good, and I dont think there is a way to make it good. The designer of this ride was just plain evil, he designed it with a 151 drop, and then an immediate U-Turn at 65MPH. No coaster should ever have been made this was. Stay away from this one.

This is one ride that I truely hate. The small potion of the ride coming out of the station is great but the rest of the ride is a different story. I am all for hangtime on a first drop of a coaster, but when you are getting that hangtime in the back of the train, you know that there is something wrong. This is THE roughest woodie I have ever ridden. Throughout the entire ride it felt as though someone was punching my back over and over in an attempt to knock the wind out of me. A very bad ride.

EDIT as of June 2003: i rode this coaster again and actually didnt mind it at all. i leaned forward the entire ride so my back wasnt against the seat and it wasnt nearly as rough as before and actually not a bad ride, still rougher than normal and no airtime though. my previous rating was a 2 but im changing it to a 5

Worst coaster on the entire planet. Hercules in name and in roughness. Really strong and gives you a good beating. Should have been called Big Mommas House Fell Over or something, because boy would she be mad if she saw a mess like this ride. We almost complained to Guest Relations, but we knew it wouldnt do any good. There is almost no hope for the ride and the only thing it has going for it is the solid opening and short lines. Besides that, taer her down!

Hello, can I go on a ride that is slow and boring, yet still roughs me up like a 10 round heavyweight fight? I can! Great, show me the way to Hercules! (UPDATE: I was talked into riding this again and this time it wasnt nearly as bad as my first experience, still way too slow at points, but not nearly as rough as my first ride. Still not a great coaster by any stretch of the imagination, but Ill up the score a bit as it seems the ride isnt very consistent. Hope you ride on a good day.)

Uniquely horrific layout and design make Hercules by far the worst coaster Ive ever had the unfortunate please of riding and one of the most notorious wooden coasters in existence. Decent drop and nice pre-lift run, but cant even barely make up for the roughness and annoying vibrations the coaster forces upon its riders. For those who enjoy it, Im really happy that it does have its fans, but its definitely not something for those weak in neck or back. Good luck for future newbie riders and hopefully the entire coaster after the first drop is redesigned a la Phantoms Revenge. For now, a very much deserved 1/10.

I know alot of people dont like this ride, but I think it is a good ride. I like them rough and this one shakes you up. It has good first hill and the loop around the lake is fun.

Apparently Dorney thinks that having a big drop is a sufficient condition for a great ride. Well, its not. This big wooden waste of trees is probably a waste of your time. Believe it or not, Dorneys Thunderhawk is actually a superior wooden ride to this. Go to Dorney for a half day, ride Talon and Steel Force, and if you got nothing better to do, ride this otherwise leave early.

i dont know why many people dont like this coaster. yea, it may be rough, but i like some rough coasters and this is one of them. i found this ride much better than the thunderhawk and i like the first hill.

Another Dinn masterpeice. Still not quite as bad as beast though. At least this one gets the pain out of the way fairly quickly...

This is a wonderful ride and well designed. However, why must it be so D*mn rough. It takes all the fun out of the ride. This ride has an awesome drop and awesome hills. But the roughness takes from the ride.
