Awesome coaster, my #1 for a couple of years. Love the flying over the lake. Good airtime and very smooth.

just like the other S:ROS no theming on the queue, but I can overlook that since all I care about is a great ride. Ok now Ive been on all 3 S:ROS and what a relief that they are not clones of each other and still all great rides. My favorite part of this one is going down the large hill over water and into an overbanked turn before you you fly back up the next hill. I know its not faster than SFNE but it felt faster at that point. This version also has two great headchoppers. The air was not great in the front, a couple of ejector moments. In the back you get insane floater air on the third hill and good floater air on the 4th hill and the bunny hills.

This is the coaster that started the second revolution in the hypercoaster market. Superman ROS was the first hypercoaster built by Intamin and introduced the world to a whole new sort of hyper.Intamin developed a fabulous train specifically for its megacoasters, and S:ROS was the first to sport it. Featuring an ultra-smooth ride, simple lap bars and stadium seating, there was no such thing as a bad seat. While recent modicifations for safety may have tamed the ride slightly, it is still not to be reckoned with. This particular S:ROS has a very good setting. As you ascend the lift you are given a birds-eye view of the surrounding wilderness as well as the hotel/lake/campground to the right. As you crest the hill you are treated to a very steep first drop and subjected to fantastic ejector air, primarily in the back. The first drop is not followed by another hill, rather, but a sharply-banked left-hand turn just feet above the shores of one of the parks many lakes. The ride then crests a major hill and the negative Gs once again control the rider. From there you drop into a 540o helix thta is more intense and taken at higher speeds than it appears, and it ends with a very good headchopper. From there you are sent darting to one of the best moments available on any coaster: the second air hill. This hill, taken at breakneck speeds, gives some insane airtime. From there you are sent into another glass-smooth, lateral-filled helix and up into a wonderful little s-shaped airtime hill that just combines all sorts of forces into one great element. From there the ride is about over and only a few very good bunny hops are between you and the brakes.Overall, this Superman is very fun and a good example of a hypercoaster. Though the restraints have been changed a few times (fyi I liked these newest ones better than the ones from 04) this coaster still reigns among the supreme airtime machines and will be loved for years to come.

I have ridden this many times. I think it is better than Magnum at Cedar Point. A unique aspect is that at the bottom of the first hill, the track turns to the left where most layouts the track continues straight up to the next hill. The experience is thrilling because youre flying at 70 something mph tilted to your left for a few seconds. I enjoy the first downward helix because you can feel the speed building up. I love it! After that there is a long straight route that is a little boring. That is what keeps this from getting a 10. Airtime at the end of the ride is incredible. Smooth, comfortable, thrilling. What more could you ask for?

The Superman is great...its all been said. This ride is very smooth, has great drops, and everything is great. They over helixed it though, and the second helix can be boring. There is a long line, and when it runs two trains it often breaks down, causing them only to use one train, making long lines even longer. Great Ride though.

The fact that this was the first ever Intamin built Hyper gives it some freedom in my rating. The climb up the lift is incredible. The fact that it is at such a shallow incline makes the ride seem extremely taller than it actually is. The first drop is very exhilarating... but the third hill is the all time best air I have ever experienced. All I can say is thank God for lapbars! The helixes are way too boring, and the straightaway between helix 1 and the third hill is ridiculously pointless. But overall it is a world class ride thanks to the 6 wonderful hills. A definite ride that is not to be missed.

WOW! the simplicity of the design makes it just about as perfect as a Hyper-coaster can get!!! not too high, but tall enough to let u know its a hyper!!! strong helixes, good bunny hills at the end, great air-time, right where it should be, and that very first turn, at the bottom of the first drop, i love that most of all i think!!! fun all around, cant wait to go back and ride it again!!!
