Fun water slide. The lines can be bad though unless you ride it really early or late. I get pretty wet on this when I ride and the slides are quick and cool.
I will come out saying that I love water slides and this one was no exception. Canobies pair of intertwined wet/dry slides have a green paint job to them and anchor the bottom corner of the park. Lines usually are very, very long for this because of the low capacity and their popularity. To avoid the lines I usually ride this as soon as I get to the park. There are two sides; wet and wetter. I dont have any preference between the two slides so I just pick the one with the shorter wait. The slides were very fun as there were quite a few sudden twists and turns. The slide isnt in total darkness and despite being very bright, some of those turns still were quite sudden. Though the slides arent very long, they are a very fun attraction that doesnt get me too wet (assuming I ride alone). My only real complaint is the wait.
My girlfriend (now my wife) and I had gone up to Canobie not sure what to expect and had a great time. This was the ride that had us laughing uncontrollably as we nearly did a whole flip inside the tube. We came out at the landing and people were staring at us and we were soaking wet and red-faced from laughing so hard. I cannot wait to be back in New England for spring or summer so I can jaunt up there and ride it again.
Technically not a "coaster", but more of a water slide, the Timber Splash Water Coaster is located in the Tall Timber area of Canobie Lake Park. The two slides that make it up are labeled, "Wet" (This is pretty much a dry ride), and "Wetter" (This slide gets you pretty darn wet). Its an overall great ride that lasts less than a minute, but is worth the sometimes long wait (esspecially on hot days).
Its usually a very long line. If this ride were at a water park it would be a short line. But its a good change of pace when you spend a whole day at Canobie this ride is fun, real fun. The ride is in a good place because if wanna have fun and cool off from the heat its right near the Policy Pond Flume, the Flume line will always move quicker though. When you get to the top and have to decide: "Wet" or "Wetter" choose "Wet" its more fun. "Wetter" is wet and "Wet" is almost dry.
Canobies set of wet/dry water slides are fun, but just not worth their usually long wait. While I mention it, lines for this are really long and slow moving except for the instant the park opens and shortly before closing. The capacity is just plain horrendous. Anyway, there are two separate slides- wet and wetter. Honestly I find both to be just as fun and just as wet. The slides for the most part are pretty swift and there are a few good turns on each that got me fairly wet. They are insanely short like most water slides though.
Mrceagle is actually right here in that the side that doesnt get you wet is surprisingly more thrilling. Not worth any long wait but still fun nevertheless. It gets really hot in the actual slide, before you actually get wet that is...
This is a pretty fun ride on a hot day. The line moves fairly quickly and you can wear your clothes on it, which is a plus. You do get wet a little bit. The only problem is the capacity... It is only 2 people per tube, I think.
Fun but way too short. You wont be missing much if you skip it, but if theres a short wait its worth it.
OK water ride, ntuhin to get excited about, if there is a long line, it is definastly not worth the wait.
