No real thrills here. Although it was a thrill for my young son. This was his first experience on such a ride. The elevator lift was quite cool in a first-generation Intamin Free Fall way...you get that anticipation thing going...especially if you're in one of the seats that faces backwards. You're left dangling for a moment before the mechanics and noisy pneumatics engages you onto the track.

The ride itself was neat..nothing really thrilling., but it wa fun indeed. Nice views of the simulated campground-themed area below as well as the big Guitar next door. Depending on the non-riders below, you may have a dry, wet, or drenched ride. Although, areas of the ride's layout will provide jets of water that spray you as well as a curtain of water and a mister near the end. The rest of the water experience is up to the people below.

My only issue with this ride was the braking system. I hope they fix it. About midway and towards the end, you hit those fin brakes abruptly. If you're in the forward-facing seats, you will get uncomfortably slammed into the lap bars (no shoulder harnesses here). If you want to know how the Heimlick Manouver feels like...then go on this diddie. If you're choking on gum during the ride, fear not, it will be adequately dislodged during one of the breaking areas.

In the heart of Hard Rock Park lies one the parks few attractions that incorporates water. Slippery When Wet (likely named after the Bon Jovi album) is a suspended coaster designed by Premier Rides. It is similar to Carowinds Flying Super Saturator and Hersheyparks Roller Soaker. Each car holds four riders, two facing frontward and two facing backward. Unique to Slippery, the ride begins with a hydraulic elevator lift. After the four or five story climb, the car begins its winding path.

Meanwhile, onlookers can man large water canons and take aim at the riders flying overhead. Its almost certain that you will get wet. Aside from the canons, the train passes through a wall of sprinkling water towards the end. While riders are in danger of getting sprayed, they do have a way to retaliate. Every car features a green button that sends a radio signal to shower heads above the people that are using the canons. The buttons werent operational when I was there, but it sounds like revenge will be sweet.
Obviously, Slippery cant compare to some of the other more thrilling rides, but it does play a nice support role and helps to round out the parks lineup. Final Rating - 6.0 (Above Average)

I thought this ride was barely above average. Its great for little kids and families, but RollerSoaker beats the living crap out of it. We got minimally wet and the ride was extremely short. Worth the ride for the credit, but not much else...the elevator lift was a first for me, so at the very least that was interesting
