Im rewriting my review of this ride:

After a season of disappointing rides on Volcano the Blast Coaster, I have chosen to lower my rating from a 9 to a 7. The launches are good, yes, but what comes next? A quick ascent through the top of the volcano and then 3 monotonous, repetitive, uncomfortable motions. I simply do not get the rush out of this ride as I used to. The spark has been lost. It is a repetitive, and dare I say, boring ride. It sucks that this is PKDs excuse for not getting a B&M invert themed to Top Gun, because there is simply no comparison. Stay tuned! I may decide to lower the rating to 6! :o

My new personal favorite for inverted launch coasters. APPEARANCE-10 It is the centerpiece for a nicely themed area. It is well painted and had a great look to it in all areas. CAPACITY-9 The line what there was was moving very well, they do a nice job getting you in and out. RIDE QUALITY-8 smooth and the double launch was really fun, I did take off for the variety of elements. FUN-9 My favorite ride at a slightly above average park. I like it because it gives the speed of a V2 or Wicked Twister, but gives a full ride. RERIDE-9 After I have a chance to ride all the rides in the park this would be a ten, but right now I would still sacrafice a ride for the chance a the things I missed. OVERALL-45 AVG-9.0 I may be slightly high since my experience was cut short by Paramount deciding to close early and save themselves money, hence making this the standout of the day, but I do feel its between an 8 and 9 experience. Needed another element to get a ten.

This is my favorite coaster at PKD. The launch invert is rather original. Although there are no loops or cobra rolls like some other inverts, this coaster is quite intense. Definite winner at PKD.

Volcanos pair of launches were a blast (sorry for the bad pun). Not knowing that there were two launches, I was taken by suprise. I only rode once, but it was from the front seat. The first launch into the long banked turn was ok, but that reenergizing launch in the mountain was really fun: up you go at 155 feet into the worlds tallest inversion, whatever its called (rcdb says Roll Out). After that, the ride is all but over to me. The ride proceeds to have some high banked turns going into three heartline rolls, all of which were taken at relatively low speeds which produces some nice forces, saving this ride from a 7. The last diving turn back into the volcano was alrigt, not too thrilling, but still fun. This coaster was enjoyable, but I didnt feel like it was one to ride over and over. Though it is one of my favorite launches, a category I am not too fond of, I didnt even think it was the best ride in the Congo section, rather, I thought its newest neighbor Tomb Raider was. Volcano gets an 8 from me, but is good enough to be my favorite non-B&M Invert.

I love this ride, especially all the theming. Both launches are absolutly insaine and very fast. The problem i had with the ride is its short length. I also did not engoy how "uninteresting" the ride became, this was right after the launches and the blast out of the volcano. They could have done SO much with this ride instead of just making barrel rolls and turns, I just wish that the ride kept your excitement level up after going straight up through the volcano. It was over way to quick.

This coaster exceeded all of my expectations to become my second favorite invert after Montu. The first thing anyone notices about this coaster is the great theming. Fabulously done and very cool. The launch is very fast, but the only dissappointment in the ride is that the g-force wasnt too great. Still a great adrenaline rush. The rollout at the top of the volcano is a GREAT inversion, one of the best out there. It is extremely disorienting. The rest of the ride is very short but the heartline rolls were all great surprises. I noticed that all of them roll in the direction that you wouldnt expect. For example, when the train is banked to the left around a turn, the roll will be to the right. The heartline roll next to the volcano is awesome. A very good rollercoaster that although wasnt hyped too much found its way into my very strong top ten. A great ride at an underrated park. Volcano: The Blast Coaster should not be missed.

excellently themed queue, I did not expect to feel the heat of the volcano fire while on the queue. I loved the launch straight up the middle of mountain and I love heartline rolls (my second favorite coaster element) and this has 3 of them, but I couldnt stop thinking "Boy this is the worlds longest left hand turn"
