Okay for the benefit of anyone who hasnt ridden X, here is my description of Xs layout.

The first thing youll notice when you approach the train is that it seats 4 across and the whole thing is very wide (20 feet to be exact). If the train looks heavy, its because it is-one of the heaviest ever built. Okay, now youre going to strap yourself into the seat using what Arrow calls a butterfly restraint. You put your arms through the restraints and pull the two halves towards your chest. Then you pull the whole thing down until it touches your shoulders. This is a very high-tech restraint system and is pretty comfortable too.

Now youre off to the lift hill. Youll be going up the lift hill lying on your back with your head uphill. Here youll get a great view of the park. Once at the top of the hill you go over that little dip that you can see in the pictures. As you get closer to the 90-degree drop the seats rotate so that you are lying on your stomach. As you go over the edge you get a view facing down that you probably wont forget. While going down the drop the seats continue to rotate forward such that you are traveling headfirst at the bottom of the drop. This is where I suspect the ride reaches its peak speed of 76 mph. You definitely feel like youre going somewhere. Then you go up the first raven turn and find yourself at the top lying on your stomach again looking down. The g forces up to this point are pretty intense. From the top of the raven turn you go down another drop except this time you are riding under the tracks. X is unique in that sometimes the train rides above the tracks and sometime it rides below. When you approach the bottom of this drop dont forget to smile for the camera. Next you head up towards the luge turn traveling feet first. Here you get to catch your breath a little. After you make it around the luge turn youll be heading towards the heart-line twist. While going through the heart-line twist the seats change direction. In other words, youll be facing forwards going into it and facing backwards coming out of it. If youre sitting on the outside seat youre really going to get tossed around. After this element youll be coming up on the second raven turn except this time youll be going over the outside of the turn instead of the inside like the first raven turn. After the second raven turn you go through a little twist and youll be headed towards the break run which uses a nice smooth electromagnetic breaking system. And now you get to breath again.

If I had to find one fault, which I hate to do for such a great ride, it would be with the queuing system. The lines in the loading station are just absolute chaos. Since this ride draws so many people, I really think this is something that needs attention. But putting that aside, I have to say that I absolutely love this ride and X is without a doubt, the most unique ride that you will ever ride on - at least until the build the next generation of X coasters.

X is my #3 steel coaster. It is by far the most chaotic steel coaster *ever* created. The first drop is the best first drop in the history of all coasterdom, and I LOVE how every single element keeps you guessing which dimented way youll be flipped next.

Simply put, X is indescribeable. Arrow needs to find a way to make these reliable so many, many more parks can buy them. Truly the most revolutionary design weve seen this decade.

X looked like a short ride to me at first, but once youre on it the ride seems to be one of the longest and scariest ever. First, you go completely upside down on the drop and its so much freakier than I could ever imagine a drop ride being and you fly up and flip several times and the barrel roll is the strangest part. You start in it facing forward and then you flip backwards and flip through the roll at the same time. The ride is so cool and now it is my favorite steel coaster ever!

This has been a amazing year for me. Island of Adventure(UNIVERSAL),DISNEYWORLD, DISNEYLAND, GREAT ADVENTURE, MAGIC MOUNTAIN, SEA WORLD>>>IN 9 DAMN MONTHS. FLORIDA I WENT TO BECAUSE OF VACATION, GREAT ADVENTURE BECAUSE ITS ONLY 90 MINUTE RIDE, AND CALIFORNIA TO SEE MY BROTHER AND PICK UP SOMEONE FROM THE LOS ANGELES AIRPORT(WHATEVER IT IS CALLED)[LIKE YOU CARE], AND THE REASON I CREATED TIME TO VISIT SIX FLAGS IN C.A. WAS BECAUSE OF X AND DEJA VU. DEJA VU WAS NO DOUBT THE BEST ROLLERCOASTER I HAVE EVER BEEN ON IN THE THEME PARK FRIENDLY STATE OF CALIFORNIA. X, I was dissapointed. FORGOT TO GET A FASTPASS, I DIDNT KNOW THEY HAD ONE UNTIL MIDDLE OF THE DAY(DIDNT PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE ADS BECAUSE OF CONSTANT CHATTERING WITH the 10 billion around me), THAT MEANT HUGE LINES. EXTREMELY LONG WAIT. THAT IS ONE REASON THIS RIDE GOES FROM 10 to 7. SECOND THE RIDE IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WHILE ITS RAINING. Althought is wasnt raining hard, you kind of get the feeling a accident is going to happen because of the trains slipping(ofcourse they wont "slip"(Please dont make fun of my selection of words)). The ride itself is the most wonderful to look at, but kind of uncomfortable when your going head first with .."Rain drops popping on my head"...I wont give it a 1 or 2 but this is no doubt a wierd experience(All I remember is having fun, dont remember any turns or whatever, but I guess thats a positive part of the ride)

X has been one of the most hyped coasters ever. Did it live up to these expectations? Yes it did it is an amazing coaster it may not be my favorite but it is definetly in the top 3 (Nothing can beat my beloved Ghostrider). My inagural ride on this coaster was in the back row, right side, far seat which I Have heard is the best. I got into my seat and WOW! This is the most comfy seat i have ever been in. If I could but one of these in my living room it would be my new favorite chair. Anyways the ride begins and the train goes up the lift backwards which I loved. The view is amazing I could see about 9 different coasters from the lift! Then came the dip and the trains flipped to go vertical and this was the part where I belted out many obscenities. The drop is like no other it is easily my favorite drop it is unparalled. Into the raven turn which was pretty fun. Then it went into my favorite part of the ride the bunny hop. While going through the bunny hop the trains flip to give you the strangest air time ever. Going through a bunny hop with my head facing the ground was the strannngest thing I ever felt on a coaster. Flying through the turn around like a bat out of hell X made its way to the half n half. I was somewhat dissapointed with this element. A lot of people had said that this was there favorite but I didnt get very disoriented and thought it was just alright. Maybe it was becuase of my seating if anyone can give me a better seating spot tell me. Then the X went into the inverted raven turn which was better than the first raven turn in my opinion since this was a lot more intense. The ride went throught the little twist at the end and that was my ride on X. Was I dissapointed with X? Yes and No. I expected X to blow all coasters out of the water that it didnt do but it is an easy 10 and is my #2-3(I cant decide whether X or Goliath is better, keep in mind I am a hyper freak). Overall it was a fun, fast-paced ride just the way I like them. Come over to SFMM to ride this beast trust me you wont be dissapointed.
