only fun since my friend drove and ignored all NO BUMPING signs and the operator was furious!

What a joke in my opinion. Canobies 500 is so much better. The cars are slow and hard to control and the layout is pretty dull and short.

Route 66 is a nice little set of Antique Cars and one of the few remaining Riverside attractions still at the park. Located among Wiggles World, Route 66 is an Arrow version that has a hidden course through a woodsy section of the park. Six Flags doesnt run too many cars on Route 66 (fewer than what Id expect) and that causes it to have quite a bit of a wait during the day. I went on it very early in the day today and it was a walk-on thankfully. The gas-powered cars are very cramped compared to other antique cars I have been on, but the cars themselves to look nice and are very well taken care of. Also, the cars were pretty quick compared to others. I personally wasnt a big fan of Route 66s layout as it seemed a bit boring. Sure it ran through the woods, but the layout seemed pretty compact and it just really wasnt that unique. One positive about the woodsy setting is that the ride is very well shaded and very relaxing. Along the way are a few sights to see, but not too many. As I have mentioned, the layout was very short. Though its a nice little attraction, Route 66 isnt as good as other antique cars in my opinion because of the short length and rather boring layout. Overall, Route 66 is a very nice, placid attraction that shouldnt be missed by Antique Car fans.

Slow loading and cramped cars... but it gets extra points for its wooded setting as well as its unique "out and back" layout that snakes around itself and gives the impression for the most part that you are driving your little model-T on a "two lane" road. Good job of fitting as much "track" as possible into that small area.

This is the Antique car ride at the park. the layout is good with a long track and a lot of trees. The cars aint in the best shape and the wait can be long. worth a ride if the lines are short.
Update - in 2007 they moved the queue to the outside its not much easier to get on. you also drive in the upside direction to what you used to.

A run-of-the-mill antique car ride that cues up too slowly. It would be much better if the wait were reduced through better load and unload procedures.

This classic ride is the perfect way to "catch your breath" in between the bigger/faster/more intense rides. And of course its perfect for small kids who take it so seriously inspite of the fact its obviously on a guided rail. And much praise should be bestowed upon Six Flags for not only choosing to keep this bit of nostalgia, but also for keeping it in such excellent condition (the cars look great!).

This is an ancient Arrow antique auto ride (installed in 1962) and it shows its age. It is so slow that even I can outwalk it, and my legs arent even the same length. There shouldnt be much of a wait for this ride, so you may want to check it out anyway, especially if youve done enough spin n barfs for one day.
