Rode the EE the day after it opened. The first ride was awesome, but strangely enough, the second ride was not a good. It was still great though. This will wind up being one of my all time favorite rides. I am going back to WDW this fall and can honestly say I am looking forward to riding this one again the most.

Congrats to WDW for a great new rollercoaster in the tradition of Disney mountains. Expedition Everest is a perfect addition to a park that needed an injection of thrills badly. What we have here is a ride that is about on par with Rock n Rollercoaster for excitement, but delivers an ultra-smooth ride and a setting that can only be described as true Disney grandeur. Everest starts off slowly, but ends with a bang. The backwards section is a new fold in the Disney landscape, and while I know there is no loop on the ride they have somehow simulated this on the backwards section. The last forward section featuring the drop into the turn is a blast, and ends with the Yeti encounter...a marvel of Disney animitronics. He is awesome and fiercesome looking as he swings at the riders. I sometimes wonder what people are expecting when I hear negative comments about this ride. They probably could have thrown in some more show scenes on this one, but the ride is long and offers interesting twists. As for the ride not being an all-out thriller, Disney rides are built mostly for families. They want everyone to be able to enjoy Expedition Everest. After Mission Space I think they realized that going all-out intense is not what the average Disney park goer is seeking...thus the new Green Team version. They have hit the right balance with Everest, offering a few moments of true intensity for thrill seekers, while not pushing it too far for everyone else.

I loved this ride. Even though i had to wait about 80 minutes in line it was all worth it. I loved how the line had different buildings to walk through with great theming. And i had to say the Yeti really did scare me and i had to duck down! Overall fantastic theming and thrilling for a Disney ride!

This ride is amazing. Excellent theming. The backwards elements alone are very intense for a Disney ride. This will satisfy any thrillseeker.

On my recent trip to Disney World, i was lucky enough to ride Everst 8 times. Each time was amazing. The theming of the ride is great, the yeti is the best animatronic ever. The coaster part was really fun too, especially the air time i felt going backwards, thats a really interesting experience. Anyway, i only gave it a 9 because the transfers from forwards to backwards, and vice versa, took too long. I wish they were done faster so they didnt disrupt the flow of the ride. But besides that the ride is great. Anyone that hasnt ridden it yet needs to go to Animal Kingdom now and ride this awesome new coaster. I think its safe to say that Disney is back with the creation of what is sure to become an instant classic.

Just got back from WDW and got to ride EE 5 times and loved each ride! Then theme of the queing area was beautiful, the trains where nice and roomy, the theme once inside the ride was great. The Yeti Musuem could be a walk through attraction by itself. A great addition to WDW and an instant Disney classic!

This ride was definitely one of my favorites in WDW this time around. The theming was really great, and the only reason this ride doesnt get a 10 is because it could have been a bit better--there was one scene where there was a shadow of a yeti tearing up the track--which I think could have been done better with extra effects. Still, that one gripe aside, going backwards in the dark was a real thrill. Its arguably Disneys second-most thrilling ride (after Rock n Roller Coaster).

I like two elements of this coaster : 1. Shape 2. Size. For shape, what can I say? The most beautiful coaster ever created. The mountain is an attraction of its own right. Along with the queue its the best themed coaster as well. 2. Size is huge, real huge, its a monster. HOWEVER, other than its beauty and size, the rest of the attraction is a slight let down. I am not sure i am that much impressed by the Yeti figure. Of course, its fast and huge, but its just nothing "wow".

WARNING: SOME SPOILERS INCLUDEDEverest is a very good ride... very good the principal word, not superb or anything to that nature. VERY Disney of them. The roller coaster part was pretty good - I especially liked "the drop" and the first half of the backwards segment. All of the coaster parts were dragged on a little too long and especially in the case of the backwards part, they fizzled out. The themeing is excellent - from the sweet queue to the fabulous mountain. Almost every part of the ride is elaborately themed - well, except the part between chains one and two, that was off The first scene with the bird is a big "WTF" but the track effect from the front is pretty effective. The second scene with the projection was actually pretty cool but also drawn out (all for capacity and timing, Im sure) and the encounter with the Yeti was amazing. No video or photo will ever do it justice unless the images are captured off the ride. Amazingly life-like, for whatever I could imagine a Yeti looks like in real life. Overall, a very fun and re-rideable roller coaster, a PERFECT addition to the park that lacks in rides, but not the greatest ride ever as it had been hyped up to be by some.

This is an excellent ride handled in true Disney fashion. I had the opportunity to ride this one last week used the single rider line, which cut 45 minutes off of the wait time, so the only theming I can talk about is the ride itself. And it was great.
