I dont know, I think it is overrated. After haring all the raving review I was really looking forward to this one and expected to be something out of the world. But instead it is just another roller coaster with mountain theming. The theme is really great, but I think the rest is not as original as I think it would be. The finale is a bit of let down. After all the story and heavy advertisment of the Yeti legend, Disney gave you one second to say hi to him. I am sorry, but I felt cheated.

I have to agree with some other posters and say this is the best family coaster I have been on. APPEARANCE-10 The mountain is amazing, the line is very detailed, the trains and station also are themed. The yeti is amazing. CAPACITY-10 They just load like crazy and the line moves really fast. Like most disney rides the capacity is very good. RIDE QUALITY-8 A couple spots that let you know its a Vekoma, including a real hard stop. Not a lot of elelments that make it appear to be anymore than a good mine ride. FUN-9 A really good time, just a little less than what I was hoping for. RERIDE-10 By far the best attraction in AK. There is no way I would go to the park without doing that ride. OVERALL-47 AVG-9.4 I am going to go with a 9, though it could easily go to a ten with another visit. Quite simply one of the coolest things in Disney.

A very good and imaginative addition to the park.

I have to say I feel in love with Everest. One of the best rides I have ever been on. I was worried that the "hype" was going to let me down but that was definately not the case. There are many elements that make this ride unique, one being the unbelievable structure. It is just a beautiful coaster. The amount of artifacts, I believe the special on Everest said around 4,000 were bought for the ride. It has an amazing line, but the lift hill impressed me more, as I wasnt expecting all the artifacts there. Once inside the ride, the suspense builds into a perfect, calm, ride. The ride itself has different elements such as the broken track, backwards ride, cold effect inside the mountain, a stop that shows a shadow of the yeti, and then back outside where I really doubt many would believe was central florida, and then the climax, the huge yeti. An amazing creature. I beleive the perfect amount of timing for him as well. If we looked at him to long we would find flaws I am sure, but the quick pass by really makes him look real. This ride is pure disney magic.

Just a great ride. The best family coaster that I have been on. They theming on this ride and in the line is the best that I have ever seen. You can see the mountain from the parking lot towering over the trees. Just an amazing site. The ride it self is nothing like I have been on. You start of by going forward up the mountain and around it a little until the track is torn up. Then you go backwards though the mountain, which was my fav. Then you stop and go forward again around the mountain until you go back in and see the great yeti. He is just amazing. I rode it twice and wish I could of rode it a couple of more times but the line was 80min. If you go to WDW make sure you ride this coaster.

Truly intimidating...and amazingly themed, as are most Disney rides. The ride is really fun and a must when going to Animal Kingdom.

I think its an overall enjoyable ride, but not worth more than an hour wait. The mountain is really beautiful and themeing is as good as it could get. But inside the mountain you could see all the steel and such which ruins the oveall feeling that you are in the mountain. Plus, I heard they spent a lot of money on Yeti figure but you pretty much will miss him if you blink. The encounter with yeti left too much to be desired. Overall nice addition to Animal Kingdom line up but probably not too spectacular.

When you travel to Orlando, it is highly unlikely that youll not know what Expedition Everest is. Disney has put the promotion for the ride on high gear as there seems to be a billboard for it everywhere. The mountain itself is a true work of art. It may just replace the Tree of Life as the center piece for the park. The queue for the ride is very interesting and it will get you pumped up for the ride. I suggest getting a fastpass early in the morning, though, as wait times can stretch as long as 2 hours. No matter if you like roller coasters or not, anyone can do this ride. The drop is a mere 80 feet and the ride is very quick. Overall I thought the ride was excellent, but no where near what Disney made it out to be. It is your typical medium sized roller coaster with the always excellent Disney theming. The only problem is that it just may not be worth an hour-plus wait.

The tide was fairly over hyped and i alread knew how the ride was thanks to Disney 411 on DisneyChanel and sneak peak videos but by far one of the best rides at disney its great for the thrill riders and the Family. I got everyone in my family to ride it so that proves my point!

This ride is a let down. I have no idea what people are raving aboout. The queue is really good but the actually ride is nothing special. Its just a bigger version of Big Thunder Mountain plus one second yeti time. The yeti is huge but you can barely see it cause it happened too fast. backward portion of the ride is probably the best part but there is light leaking out which you could see the infarstructure and the track clearly. That ruins the feeling of a mountian. Overall, i am disapointed cause I heard this thing cost 100 millions.
