Rode it for the 1st time today and....WOW. Just WOW. It was an unbelievable experience. Luckily I got there as the park opened and barely had to wait at all. I wish I could go into more detail, but due to laziness, I cant. Trust me and everyone else who has been on it...its right up there with El Toro as one of the best!

Kingda Ka was an extremely disappointing ride, in my opinion. Of course, the ride is an incredible rush with some fantastic visuals, but the ride overall fails to deliver. The trims at the crest of the tophat severely castrate the ride as all airtime that could be salvaged is converted to a strange feeling of hesitation as you begin the spiraled plunge. The ride is also uncomfortably rough for its youthful age, especially when pulling out of the 418 foot drop. The "airtime hill" is very much a misnomer as there is zero airtime to be had. So what we have left is a good launch, nice vertical ride to the top, and a crappy ending...but at least its a record breaker!!!

Yes it is a little taller and a little faster than TTD but you cant really tell. But the launch and the drop are extremly intense and you get a serious rush from this thing. It was really awsome.I didnt give it a ten because of the OTSR what the heck is up with those TTD doesnt have them. and i didnt really get any kind of story line from Kingda Ka. Oh yeah and the front is the absulutly best place to ride it.

To be honest, I was disappointed with Kingda Ka. Yes it is faster than Dragster, but by so little it isnt noticed. Also This ride is really rough. Not so rediclious but enough to cause a slight discomfort. One more problem I have is the OTSRs. They are not needed and really annoy me. Now Dragster came out way before this so naturally the two get compared. Dragsters launch is a little slower than Kingda Kas however you dont notice the speed difference. Kingda Kas theme doesnt fit as well as Dragsters does. Kingda Kas tower is bigger, but with the breaks at the top there is no airtime. So What Kingda Ka has left is its Bunny hill. The breaks come on way to early to get much Airtime. So yes I can sit here and point out what I dont like about this ride. However, if I didnt ride dragster first, then this would get a 10. It is a great ride. But Dragster still tops it.

Almost perfect but why does it have OTSRS? Plus, its a little on the shaky side.

Kingda Ka is by far the biggest disappointment of a roller coaster I have ever had. Upon looking at Kingda Ka, one cant help but compare it to TTD, but I will try not do, although I do believe TTD is far superior to KK in theme, ride experience, smoothness, and airtime. Maybe I just had a couple bad rides on KK, I dont know for sure, but it wasnt as great as it was hyped up to be. The launch didnt blow me away as much as I thought it would, but it was still very powerful in the front seat. The back was one of the roughest rides Ive had. The trim on the top kills the airtime for the most part on the way down, something that TTD delivers. The bunny hill offered some airtime, but this was very brief. Although Im saying all of this, I still think it is a great ride with a nice launch and the way up the hill is very thrilling. Although I would rate this lower in terms of how much I liked it, I know that my expectations were set much too high so Im being reasonable by giving it a 9. I definitely dont think it deserves a 10 since there is no theme and the ride in the back is horrible. Overall a great ride in the front section of the train though, and after all it is the tallest and the fastest ride on the planet!

This ride is totally mindblowing. Having already been on Top Thrill Dragster, I pretty much knew what I was in for...however, I never had a front seat ride on TTD. I made sure to wait for the front on my KK ride. What a difference a seat makes! Sitting in the front of this thing is utterly indescribable. The launch is so powerful and the way the wind pounds you in the face is just awesome. This is the single most intense thrill ride on the planet. I wont call it the best rollercoaster, because I feel there are a few others that deliver a more complete experience. However, for sheer exhiliration, Kingda Ka IS the King. It is only slightly better than Top Thrill Dragster. This is totally subjective. Sorry CP fanboys, the launch is a little bit more intense on KK to me. I felt that KK held its launch forces almost all the way to the tower, while TTD let up a bit earlier and had more coasting before the tower. I never thought there would be any difference between these two rides, but I preferred the launch on KK. I also did like the extra hill at the end. Later on my trip I did get to take a front seat ride on TTD in the evening. BIG MISTAKE. The location on the lake gives way to a bug metropolis at night. TTD basically turned me into a human flyswatter. My face and shirt were littered with dead bugs...it was disgusting. It ruined my ride. For that reason alone I would rate KK a touch higher due to this probably never being a big problem in NJ. The shoulder restraints on KK are a non-issue because they are totally unobtrusive...even the tall guys on our trip (one being 66" didnt mind them at all.

I do have one issue with KK, and that is that they only have 2 trains. This is crazy, as CP runs 5 trains on TTD. I think 4 is optimal, and KK really could use another 2 trains to speed up the loading process.

AWESOME RIDE!! just went on it for the first time yesterday, and let me say, this really is as amazing as it looks. the launch is so fast, evrything was just a blur. at the top of the top hat, you are floating out of your seat, then you make a really fast descent, and the spiral was cool too. the second airtime hill didnt have as much as i hoped, but it was still good.all in all, the whole ride was incredible.RIDE KINGDA KA!
