Dantes Inferno is a very interesting ride for me. This ride absolutely scared the heck out of me back when I rode it as a child and kept me off the ride for many years after. All I remembered were the loud noises and horrifying scenes that would scare any four year old. Eight years later, I finally mustered enough courage to step onto this ride through hell again and was shocked by how cheesy it was. The stunts that scared me back then were now hysterical thanks to how cheesy they are. Still, some were very well timed and were still able to scare me, but the ride didnt leave me running away in fear. Today I ride this every once in a while, but honestly its not the best haunted house. The exterior looks incredible and really captures the spirit of Coney Island. Many of the stunts though are just slightly off, timing wise, leading to what could have been a frightening stunt being rather dull. Some still are capable of a good fright and this ride just brings back so many memories.

Better then Spook a Rama, but that is not saying much. Like Larry said the stunts pop to early and the ride just isnt run that well. Which I had more to say, but it just was not very memorable.

better then average dark rides, very dark inside leading up to the stunts. Very good sounds effects in the background. However, the stunts reveal themselves too soon. If the stunts activated a second later many of them would have had me jumping out of my seat.

This ride is terrible. That being said, its a lot of fun to just laugh at the cheesy special effects. My sister and I had a lot of fun on this ride just by screaming really loud and pretending to be scared. (There were plenty of people who had really gotten scared on this ride though) Its not nearly as good as the Haunted Hotel in Myrtle Beach, but its still fun.

It was okay, but I like the one in Wildwood better.

An above average haunted hourse (as you can tell from the rating I usually rate these low). Its fast paced and works well but the stunts are not very spectatuclar. The park also doesnt do anything to supplement the ride, its just placed there.

Surprisingly good. It looks great on the outside. Inside is very fast paced and most of the stunts appear to work.

I still get a kick out of this ride - spooky in a cheesy sense. I love the little strings that brush against your face as you enter the dark area - scary! The stunts are in good shape, too. However, it really doesnt hold a candle next to the Spook-a-Rama, an oft-overlooked jewel at Coney Island.

Ive been on another Dantes Inferno in Wildwood NJ, but from the sounds of the reviews id bet the one in WW has better props and stuff. BTW, Have you ever noticed that all spook houses have that certain evil type smell to them?

Not a terribly impresive dark ride, though the outside of this one looks great. It is a typical carnival dark ride on the inside however, most of the stunts seemed to work, and it was fun, just a little pricey at 3.50 a ride.
