really fun ride, like indiana jones in california

Well, Dinosaur is a great ride. The themeing is excellent. The ride has been severely toned down. I think the best way to improve it is to add a musical score. That would just totally make the ride great. The whole ride is up to Disney standards and is very well executed. It fits perfectly into the whole Dinosaur land. It think this ride has a great pre-show and still has the surprises around every corner. My ratings for Dinosaur are, Design - 8, Themeing - 10, Fun Factor - 8, Re-Ride - 6, Intensity - 6, Scare Factor - 7, Originality - 9. The final rating is 7.7 which rounded is a 8. I would have to agree with Laffn, after riding Spidy this ride isnt that exciting. This was a really great ride when it was called Countdown to Extinction. Since its name change to Dinosaur, the ride has been toned down and much less exciting. If they ever tone the ride up again Ill add two points to my score. Otherwise go on Spiderman. An improved name, but a weaker ride. Shame on you Disney!!
(Hint: Hint, go to Disney first, before Universal. Or Disney will feel like a let down...

CTX would have gotten a 9 from me too. Dinosaur is way too slow now. And the story isnt nearly exciting enough to ride it for that alone. After riding the excellent Spider-man at IOA, this seems even more boring. Okay for one time only.

CTX, by comparison would be rated a 9. I rode CTX on the very first day of the "Soft Opening," and it was nothing compared to Indy in DL. But in August 99, it was incredible. However, just this past week (3.20.01), Dinosaur had returned to the slow, toned down past. Still, much better than most every other attraction around. No one does it better than Disney.

Ive been on both the old and new "toned down" versions of this ride and I still hide. Would make a 10 if they had just a little more detail in some of the sections.

Unbelievably thrilling ride, I cant get enough of it. I love dinos and I love darkness and this ride packs both of those things into one nice attraction. The first time I rode, wow, you should have seen my face for the picture!

I rode this before and after it was toned down and I could never tell the difference. I dont know, maybe Im just dumb...I still liked it though.

I friggin hate dinosaurs!! nest time Im sitting in a ride and one comes that close to my face (robot or not) Im bringing weapons

When it was CTX it was intense. Only Slight difference as Dinosaur. Keeps you on your toes but worth the heart-attack.
