I actually liked this one - some cool effects for all of the senses, plus, the ending stunt really did get me to jump even though I should have been able to predict it. Nice storyline and good 3-D effects along with the in-your-face additions make this one pretty fun. Too bad the queue is amazingly loooong.
This ride is quite well done. When Animal Kingdom first opened, the show was about 2mins longer, which made it a lot better. The hopper animatronic is awesome. And those darn bees get me every time! :Þ
Most kids would like it. A must see for the first timers.
This show is great! The whole theater is themed to being in a root system of a tree (because it is) right down to the seats. It has some of the most imaginative effects of all the 4D movies. I especially like the spray can fogging the theater and the bugs that leave before you. The Hopper AA is good too. Very well done show. Anyone who likes 4D shows will love ITTBAB, except maybe the little ones who can get scared.
I didnt like this ride because 3D is my type.
I love this show, so funny! this is just one of those shows that you miss the next three sentences of the show because people are still laughing. It is by far the best when the very first time, but after that you can just enjoy everyone else. It is a wonderful show, with a great concept to respect bugs. Even Hopper has a good point!
Different experience based on Disney Pixars A Bugs Life. Do not experience this if u have any bugphobia. It was scary for me the first time. There are alot of effects. Dont miss it.
A 4-D movie of epic proportions, Animal Kingdoms Its Tough To Be A Bug is one of the funnier rides in the park. Walking up to the tree of life and seeing the amount of care and artistic skill it took to create it was a sight to behold. Then you enter the area you wait in for the next showing of the movie, which has some rather cute posters on the wall of some Bugs Life characters. You then enter the auditorium, and it is the second best themed 4-D auditorium in Disney World (behind Philharmagic), with benches made out of rubber wood and the set looking as if you were actually inside a hollowed out area of a tree. Then the show starts, with butterflies and pretty stuff as the curtains and Flick the ant (Bugs Life) comes on stage. He then says he wants us to meet some of his bug friends and brings out this monsterous terantula who shoots into the audience, a termite defending his territory by spraying the audience with acid, and the humble stinkbug, who creates one of the smelliest scents in 4-D history. But alas, these fun and games must come to an end as the evil Hopper the grasshopper (Bugs Life) decides to join the show. He tells how much he hates the humans trying to kill them all the time, so hes decided to get back at you and spray you with bug spray, swat you with a fly swatter, and send spiders and wasps after you. Thankfully no body gets harmed in his madness, Hopper leaves and Flick closes the show. But wait because theres one more special effect that will make you "antsy" (pardon my pun). This is a well put together show with many effects and funny remarks for the kids and adults alike. I would suggest that kids 8 and older go on for dark moments, scary images and pain (those wasp stings really smart in the after math). Overall second best 4-D show in Disney World.
This is one of my favorite 3D shows. Their are some really fun effects. Plus walking into the tree of life is a treat. If you are spending a day at AK check this show out.
Watch out for the hornets. ITs very good 3-d movie. When you get stung just watch all the other people jump and kids cry.
Im not sure why, but this show just didnt hit the spot for me. It did have some nice effects (which I wont spoil for people who havent done it) and the stinkbug part was done well. The 3-D action wasnt overdone or underdone. Im not sure why, but this show didnt seem like anything special to me.
