Its so diffrent The drops is seems a little more intense than Ice and the loops are HUGE but it has more breathers than the Ice It doesnt semm as rushed slightly well anyway still a great ride!
the first thing is both coasters going up together...i yelled " see ya sucker!" and was escorted off the ride...lol..joking.
great ride
I liked fire a little less than ice, due to the lack of variety of coaster elements and perhaps because I rode it in the middle and not in the front, as I did when I rode ice. The theming is very good, the dueling is great. As an individual coaster each of this coasters is alright, but not spectacular. You get a good long walk in the line up which makes re-rides a bit of an effort. Too bad my sister didnt want to wait for a ride in the back of fire, though.
A good, smooth invert, but too short. If it were a standalone coaster and not dueling Ice, the layout would be awkward and anti-climatic. The dueling makes up for that, though.
Ice was closed that day because the lift hill motor finally gave out after 6 years of operation. However, I did manage to ride Fire.
DD Fire was amazing. It really was. It was so smooth, fast, and went through the inversions so swiftly and effortlessly.
The only problem was that it was kind of repetitive...(immelman, immelman, vertical loop, corkscrew).
The queue is also very nicely themed. The only problem is that its 2 miles long. Other than that, very nice and clean queue.
This is a great coaster that could easily stand alone, but of course the dueling part of it steps it up a notch. My suggestion is to ride in the back of Fire and enjoy the air time and speed. The ongoing debate is which one is better. My favorite is Fire because I really like Immelmans and roll-overs and this one has two of each.
While I prefer DD - Ice, Fire is by no means a bad coaster. Of course, it also has the great queue line and atmosphere of Ice, and is actually faster in the stats. The inversions are not quite as varied as they are on Ice, but theyre still great, with 2 immelmans, 1 vertical loop, and 2 corkscrews. One of the immelmans swoops up into a very sharp turn right after it, providing a very intense moment, and the whole ride keeps its speed up througout the whole course, just like Ice. If you can only ride one, I recommend Ice a bit more, but Fire is a great inverted coaster, and an excellent 2nd part to the Dueling Dragons ride experience.
I thought Fire was easily the better of the two rides, despite the fact that it has two Immelmans [which boggled my mind - why not make the other one a dive loop or something?]. The lay-out is more twisted than Ice, the ride is more intense, the "near-misses" I found were better, and as a stand-alone ride, it just works a lot better than Ice. It was also better than I had expected [I was told that Ice was the better ride]. I thought it was better in the back, despite my hatred for rides anywhere but the front on B&M inverteds. A great ride.
Positives: Nice speed with plenty of inversions and the Gs are great. Excellent themeing, and very short wait every time I went on. Basically, your nice, typical steel coaster.
Negatives: Its a short coaster, my guess is no more than 2 minutes. Also, the "dueling dragons" part doesnt really come in because you dont know whove won!
Difference from Ice (which I like a tad better)- Ice has a lot more speed, twists, and turns, or so it seems, this one has got the Gs.
The line on this is great. What a wonderful idea. When there they had three trains on each track. One of the fastest lines ever. What makes this ride so good is the fact that it is alway dualing. Once I rode this understood how much fun dualing is I actually get a little upset when parks dont dual. This is also so smooth to ride and has an incrediable layout.
