The Devil's Den is a track guided ride. It has good scenery/dark ride effects. It is average speed, fun, rerideable, it has a good capacity, and a long duration.

This was an odd ride, thats for sure, and overall it was rather disappointing. It would be nice if somebody bought this park and had the cash to really update some of the rides, like this one, that are in need of some real TLC. The "infamous gum wall" was rather disgusting, yet almost funny at the same time. Like I said, Devils Den is a weird one to rate. The dark ride portion of this, I thought, was very weak and looked rather run down. What saved this thing and brought my rating back up to average were the hair pin turns that, like others have mentioned, were very wild mouse-like, and they helped the ride build up a bit of speed (which was surprising). But the effects were too few inside and really not that good, hence my middle of the road rating.

It was unique, but a pretty weak dark ride. The lift hill with the "infamous gum wall" was pretty disgusting, but the gravity aspect was nice and the ride really built up some decent speed during the ride. The drop was good too, as were the hairpin turns, but the dark ride part was horrible and very short. There were only a few effects and they werent even that good.

The car is comfortable, the middle part of the ride moves pretty quick, and the exterior of the ride is cool looking. However, the dark ride part of the ride isnt very good and it is very short.

This was not the most thrilling ride, but I still love the "shopping cart from hell" feel it had.

I like the hair pin turns and that saved it from a worse rating. I was appalled by the infamous gum wall as you go up the lift hill of one of the two remaining gravity powered coasters. I was even more appalled when I noticed that the Devils Den sign outside the ride even references it "featuring the infamous gum wall". Since there was a lemonade stand right outside the ride the bees had somewhere to congregate when not chasing people after they bought lemonade. Unfortunately those bees were the scariest part of the ride.

I was very disapointed. I know they restored it a few years ago so I cant imagine it before. This park has so much potential, but they just cant seem to catch a break. This was neat and I agree with the wild mouse feel, but boy is it run down. Off the point this park also has the worst souvenirs I have ever seen. The park actually had god bless the south t shirts with rebel flags. Wasnt Pennslyvania a free state and isnt this park in the north?

Not too scary, but one of the very few gravity powered dark rides left. Its hair pin turns are very "wild mouse like". The debate rages on... a dark ride or a "coaster" in the dark?
