Date Ridden: Summer of 2006. Times Ridden: 1 Buffalo Bills is one of my favorite places in the Vegas area. The crowds are usually sparse and there are tons of things to done particularly since gambling is not my thing. Adventure Canyon is one of those rides that is fun for what it is: a low-tech shooting/log-flume. You are not going to get very wet (unless you play in the water) and the targets only work part of the time. Also, the ride is fairly expensive, somewhere in the 5 buck range. However, coupons can be found that offer a buy one-get one free pass so pay attention to the numerous brochures down on the strip. All things considered, AC gets a 7. As a side note, this ride has not been running the past few times Ive been out there. Once it was even empty of H2O as the Vegas area is having some water issues. Be aware that it could be down if you visit.

Innovative is the first word that enters my head when describing this ride, but glitchy also enters my head as well. Whoever thought of the idea of combining a flume and a shooting ride is a genius and the idea has so much potential (come on Disney- its everyones dream to shoot Brer Rabbit!). For the most part it was well executed and really attributed for the majority of my enjoyment of this ride, but the ride unfortunately was buggy as well. Not all of the targets worked and the guns sometimes just randomly turned off as well. That being said, even with its flaws Adventure Canyon was quite good. The flume section was executed as well as I had expected. It was very well themed, but the drops were rather weak and I came off relatively dry. Still they added excitement to the ride and when combined with the shooting element, this was definitely a unique ride that I hope will pop up again in another park in the future.

Very innovative and unique ride. I actually enjoyed Adventure Canyon a lot. The shooting part was pretty good and while not as good as on a regular dark ride, it worked well and I found the guns worked well. The flume itself was just average at best as the drops werent all that big or thrilling and I came off mostly dry. But, because of the combination of two great types of rides, I had a blast on this.

Adventure Canyon certainly gets the award for the most unique log flume I have ever ridden! Buffalo Bills itself is actually quite the unique place, as it seems as though the amusement rides portion was added as an enticement to parents. "Come gamble and lose your money, and bring the kids too! They can ride to their hearts content while you curse our one-armed bandits!" The flume portion of the ride is about average, with an ok drop that doesnt really get you very wet. However, the theming of the ride is rather good, as it fits in with the hotels western theme and has a rather neat mountain. I also give it an extra point for incorporating the shooting aspect of the ride. This leads to a more complete ride experience, and gives it that unique charm that makes it worth a ride or two. The guns used arent the best, but it will provide a good time, especially when riding with others! If strolling around near Vegas, take the short drive out to Primm and give their rides a go. They are a unique experience, including Adventure Canyon, which satisfies both gamer and rider alike.

Well, it was pretty unique. I was really bad at shooting the targets, but my dad and I enjoyed the drop. It got us moderately wet. Its good that people on the bridge in the casino could squirt water at the riders who come by. I did that and I laughed my head off. Its an above average ride.

This ride was innovative and fun, combineing two of the most enjoyable types of rides that many people of all ages love: shooting arcade meets flume ride. This ride was fun in many aspects, one of which was the skill needed to make a high score. With the boat tipping and moving forward at the same time, it makes for a challenging time trying to hit targets! Another was the surprise of the drop. I mean, you can plainly see it when you reach it, but being caught up in the whole aspect of the shooting arcade, you seem to forget that you are even on a flume! Although this ride had many positive aspects to it, there were some major downfalls. One of which was the out of date look to the whole ride. The guns look as if they were off of a 1970s arcade game, and they rarely work properly. Also, it appeared as if they consentrated all there money on the shooting part of the ride, because there were only one or two drops, and they were barely a drop at all. I was expecting a thrill, and only got a dud. I suggest this ride for ages 6 and up, for shooting a gun and drops. This is a good ride, but dont feel you have to ride it.

Well, I wouldve liked more drops in place of the shooting parts (Im horrible at things like that) The one drop was steep, but there was no splash. I got about 2 drops of water on me. The shooting part wouldve been okay but my gun refused to shoot half the time. So, its okay if you buy the all day ride pass.

This is a very fun log flume ride, though the log flume part is not the main part of this ride. This is a shooting gallery on water! You get guns to shoot at the targets throughout, and there are plenty of them (I think they said the total possible was almost 300). You start by exiting the casino, going up to a small mountain, shooting a bit, then coming down the only small drop on the ride. It doesnt get you very wet, but it splashes a little. There are a few targets in the graveyard outside before you reenter the casino for the rest of the ride. Buffalo Bills is of course themed to the wild west, so everything has to do with cowboys, miners, and frontier life. Lots of effects react when you hit them (including one bandit that shoots right back at you, with a water gun!). Whats so neat about this is that you are traveling around inside the casino here. You finish with a quick trip through a spooky abandoned mine before returning to the station and finding out your score. My recommendation is to sit in the front of the log if you want to beat your co-riders. Once a target has been hit, it cant be hit again, so sitting in the front definitely increases your chances of getting the targets first.

I thought it was pretty fun. Drop was small, but I kicked my parents...butts...in the shooting part of the ride. Besides that, it seemed more of a kiddie log flume than a actual log flume.

This was an alright ride at the most. The drop was OK, the themeing was OK. The thing that saved this ride from getting a 4 was the fact that it had a shooting game along with the ride. I love those! But again, not worth the money. If your a fan of flumes, then by all means, ride. If your a fan of shooting rides, then go right on and ride. But other than that, dont waste your time.
