Just about the best designed ride in Park history. Fun, disorientating mayhem. Whenever you hear screams in a park, it's coming from The Roll-O-Plane.
The Rollo Plane is a flat ride. It is fun, fast, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
I will say up front that this is one of my least favorite types of rides, although I will almost always try them at least once when I find a new one. Conneauts is above average as far as these rides go, but nothing really that great either. Comfort certainly would not be the first word that comes to mind when describing Rollo-Plane, as you get tossed around a good bit, and not really in the good way. The cycle was decent, and it certainly did its job of disorienting the crap out of me, while also instilling a bit of the fear of God in me! These certainly arent for the squeamish! I laughed and had a pretty good time, but I think the laughter was more of the nervous type since these arent my favorite.
This was a decent roll-o-plane. Vertical as always was fun and gave a unique ride, but horizontal threw me around quite a bit. The cycle was good on this one, but Knoebels one had a longer cycle.
Its a torture chamber but a fun torture chamber. One of those rides that you can truly fear for your safety on. I have to agree that as a single rider you get tossed around quite a bit so be prepared. However, it looks like it would be pretty cramped for 2 adults.
Only my second Roll-o-Plane and it is in better shape, cleaner and they run it better than the one at Sylvan Beach (surprisingly, I have not ridden Satellite at Knoebels)
Not many of these contraptions left, especially in good condition like this one. I was a "single rider" and got thrown around from side to side quite a bit as it dove toward the ground on its swing. Still, it was fun.
