Too Boring, Rough, and Expensive. Highly recommend Speed over this horrible ride.

This was surprisingly the best ride in vegas... except the stratosphere tower. It was alright until it got to the barrel-roll into a half loop, now that was fun! a little pricy, but nothing to whine over.

It was boring, rough, and pricy. The lift hill was so hot I thought I would burst. Maybe that has to do with me coming from Wiconsin.

Rode it back when it first opened. Its the best coaster in Las Vegas and the only one that feels like a complete ride.

The ride itself was mostly average or below. The seating structure I hated and it felt like we never got enough speed going. There was almost no airtime or "fun" g-forces along the ride, and the hills were just kind of there. However, it is a great view and the final inversion is REALLY cool, some intense g-forces all over my body. That alone had me give this ride some extra points. Side notes .. the price is TOO HIGH and hurts the overall experience as does the "CASH ONLY" rule for tickets. They dont tell you this until youre there, and that means using the $3.00 per transaction ATM if need be (it cost me $5 total just to get the CASH to pay for my tickets).

Nice, actually very nice - but the price. When it first opened, I paid $5 a ride. Everyone did, that was the price! Then it went up, up, up. Now I refuse to spend $12+ to ride it.

But, it is a good ride. The best part - unlike most looping coasters, there are areas on the track where you dont have rotational G forces holding you in your seat. So, yes, you actually NEED the over-the-head restraint to hold you in place. The fail-safe design of the system proves it… Instead of rotating up on a pivot point when unlocked like 99% of the coasters out there, which would fail with you falling out, this ride’s restraint slides vertically up in a track, so if it failed, you would stay in it.

Nothing special...too rough and too expensive but the view at night was spectacular.

As usual, I will be rating this ride by its experience, not the price, because that is the Casinos fault not the rides. Although $12 is a little steep....

Okay anyways, the coaster itself is fairly rough, but not anywhere near as bad as its cousin Viper @ SFGAdv, although it shares the same trains and restraint system. The coaster going up the hill makes the loudest damn sound ever, enough so that the entire pool area looks up to see if a plane is crashing every time a train is sent up. Anyways, the coaster is VERY unique, probably the most unique layout ive ever seen. It combines a Hyper -30-40 ft. + inversions. It is fairly rough, and I didnt get much airtime. It is still fun though, flying by the streets and hotel as you careen through the ride. The loop is nothing special, and I dont know if the Twist and Dive lived up to its hype. It was very fun and unique, but KEEP YOUR HEAD BACK ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT!! I didnt and got MASSIVE whiplash as the coaster pulled through the dive, enough to make me see little flashes. The hills after it are nothing great, but once again it is fun. The 540 degree helix is nice and intense as well.

Overall, the ride gets a 7 because it is a little bit rough, and it hurt slightly, but at the same time delivers one of the most unique layouts ever and is very fun.

Pretty good compared to the rest of the coasters in Vegas. The layout of the coaster is a nice touch, and the line wait usually isnt very tough to handle. The price could be a little cheaper, though.

Im glad I rode this back when it was cheaper. Nothing special here, unless you consider pain to be special. The same design by another manufacturer would be much sweeter. If you rent a car while youre in Vegas you are better off saving the money for gas and driving out to ride the Desperado.
