Backwards is sooo much better than the unbearable forwards. Short line, and the ops actually raced them!

I have to give this ride an average rating since it has a front and back:

Front: Very rough, ride. It does have a nice long paced ride but not very much airtime at all. Uncomfortable and not a fun ride. 5.

Back: Not too rough of a ride. Tons of airtime!! A long fun ride. 9.

Overall: 7

What?!?! I guess no one knows an outstanding classic woodie when they ride it, but this is one of the best coasters at Kings Island and one of the best Ive ever been on! As long as the lap bar isnt all the way against you, you get some great air through all the bunny hops and coming off the camelback. I like forwards a lot better since you can feel all that air ahead of you and its wonderful at night! Backwards gets me sick, but thats only have the coaster and I can stand it sometimes. This is my favorite woodie at Kings Island for its unlimited amount of reridable and amusement!

I dont know why more people dont love this beautiful out-and-back racing coaster, but I think it continues to be the true key that connects the park from kiddie to adult coasters making this one of the ultimates for families. The ride always has a minimal line and when racing, which it usually does, you cant help but think youre in a dreamstate! Classic airtime fun with the outstanding PTCs!

This is a good, strong out-and-back coaster with a brief bit of racing.

It would be MUCH better if the ride operators took the time to RACE the rides (at least until the turn-off), but all too continually one is run and then the other.

This was my firt wooden coaster, and a great start into the world of the bigger coasters (ie, non-mouse or indoors). However, even after my 2nd ride, I began to wonder what the point was. Some nice air on the first drop and this is an older coaster, but I just had a limit on how much true "fun" that it was...I still have more fun on the indoor mouse coaster that is Space Mountain than on this woodie that is actually a good bit larger. UPDATE: Gave the ride an extra point for some GREAT airtime in the back seat (split my pants) and some good fun on the backwards side ... really added a lil bit of thrill to a basic and fun coaster.

The ride that brought us back into the current roller coaster building renaissance and one of the greatest classic woodies ever built. Each side, forwards and backwards, provide a unique feeling from one another and some outrageous airtime over the bunny hops. Kings Island has turned both sides up a notch this season with fresh paint and a much faster and smoother ride. I love the forwards side more because I can feel the wind and the airtime more intensely but many prefer the backwards and love it as well. Major points for history and continuing to be an amusing and fun ride. Not the best at the Island, by my personal "favorite" for sentimentality!

I found this to be a improvement over Rebel Yell, but still held little airtime and few points of interest. The backwards side is better because it gives a little variation on a coaster that has none.

Fun to go backwards, but lack of forces hurt it quite a bit. Still worth a few rides, but pretty tame for my taste

A fun out and back woodie, but since to todays standards are enormous, every themepark critic overlooks this ride. The main problem I have with this ride is that it is rough. It would have more airtime and might have earned something like a 9 from me if it was about as smooth as GhostRider at Knotts berry Farm.

Pretty cool racer (when they do race at the same time) This is definitly a classic. Big airtime machine! Riding backward is soooo much better than forward though. Ride it
