While it operated, Joker at Dorney Park was just an average flat ride that, to me anyway, really brought nothing to the table that made it stand out. It was an interesting ride, and one that I cant say Ive seen all that often. But, the ride that it delivered was rather slow and not at all forceful, even though it looked like it should have been. There was a little floating sensation, which was neat, but that was about it. It was still kind of fun, but just not as thrilling as I had hoped it would be when I saw it. I would assume that younger kids liked it, as it was a tamer "thrill" ride that they could use as a stepping stone to more intense rides. But for me, it was the kind of ride that produced a "take it or leave it" kind of feeling.

This Zamperla joker just isnt as good as the Chance and Huss models out there. The cycle on this one was really short and the ride was very slow and pretty tame as well, as there was very minimal laterals during the ride. There was some floater air however, but it was really gentle. It gave great views though while it operated.

Not a bad ride at all. Its a fun, interesting expierence. I rode this for the first time in 2004 and I enjoyed it. This ride however, is not one i would go on over and over again as it has a good chance of getting dull.

I just wrote this review to also add in that the Joker is no longer running, it was removed after the 2004 season if I am not mistaken.

I like this ride! Another good one for the family, especially kids 7+ who have not yet been on the big rides. It looks big like Meteor and Hang Time but has none of the bite. Think of it as a row of bleachers say 25 seats long and 8 rows high. You sit alongside each other (nice for kids who are old enough to want to try something that looks ‘big’ but still a bit timid) and a bar lowers over your lap. Then the thing takes you up and drops around and down a few times…I think it then goes backwards. You do not go upside down. I find the drop to be less harrowing than the Pirate Ship. You can sneak a peak at the new Hydra coaster as well. Like other rides in this category, teens will tolerate it, returning adults who may have been away from the parks a while will enjoy it and younger kids will come away perhaps confident enough to try some other scarier things.

This is one of the few rides that still remain from the true Dorney era, aka before Cedar Fair took it over. It is truely an interesting ride, that I really kind of cant describe very well, yet at the top it does give you a decent view. Basically what it is, is a platform with rows of seats that are attacted to a large metal arms that rotates you into the air. Not a good description, but the best I could do. Here is the link to the rides page of Dorney Park to give you a little better idea of what it is.

It is a truely unique ride and you should hit it up while at the park. It is getting a little old, rusty and rickety, but it is a cool ride nonetheless.

I liked it, probably because I was on the very end and was getting some air. Not much, though.

An interesting ride, I have never seen something like it but its not very thrilling at all. Almost a weaker version of a pirate ship
