This coaster ironically was the reason I stopped riding coasters from the age of 5-16. (Yes, I was seriously big enough at 5 to ride this) Now, with a renewed love for coasters I will say this coaster just gives off that air of supremacy as soon as you step on the train. I will say the back is only for the experienced rider, unless you want to be taken to school really fast.....

The Beast is my favorite woody. One thing to remember about the Beast is that this is not an air time coaster. The Beast is one of the most unique coasters due to the length and terrain. This coaster really feels like a runaway bobsled ride. The signature element is obviously the Helix after the second lift hill. One suggestion for the BEAST: Ride this in the dark. You will realize why this coaster is call the Beast.

Rode it first in 92 and again 01 and it hasnt lost a thing. Standing on line all you see is the load house and hear screams coming out of the woods. The ride seems to last forever with a lot of speed and jolts but not too rough. The two dark tunnels are a nice touch.

Amazingly good coaster for being over 20 years old. Very long and well-built; should not have any problems making the roller-coaster Hall Of Fame. Do not confuse this coaster with its rebellious step-child, Son of Beast. There doesnt appear to be any genetic resemblance here.

My absolute favorite, especially at night. My sister and I rode the first train of the day on the 10th anniversary Opening Day. Hail, sleet, rain, daggone cold. All guts, all glory. I pledge allegiance!
From endlessly clanking up the first hill to divebombing caves and double helix tunnels, this coaster is PERFECTLY balanced in its manner of thrilling. Smooth, smooth, smooth.
I think its still the longest wooden coaster in the world. Designed in accordance with the wooded acreage it sits on, this coaster is truly a rare work of art. Been to a fair number of parks around the country and still find the Beast to be the best.

gereat ride lots and lots of speed and airtime, didnt like the 2ndchainlift though.I love the finale going through the same tunnel twice really fast and hearing the incredibly loud roaring of the Beast! and the high piched screaming and shreaking of all its little victoms!

Finale!!! Great ending, but having 2 lift hills takes away from the experience. Also, great setting.
