This is definitely one of my favorite woods and I must give it a ten. First, the speed, intensity, and length of the ride are great. This is the longest wood coaster in the world. The Gs in the helix through the tunnels are powerful. Sometimes, I dont have the strength to keep my arsm up. Second, the layout of the ride is one the best. Utilizing the natural terrain of PKI, it dips and winds its way through the backwoods. Few woods do this. I have ridden this ride both in the very back and very front. The very front at night is my favorite. The track in the backwoods is very dark and at times hard to follow. It is one of the best night rides. Lastly, this wood has stood the test of time. Built back in 1978, it is still running great, while many other woods have risen and fallen.
I love this ride. Excellent. Makes for a great night ride. No woody fan should do without a ride on this.
WOW! WHAT A COASTER. Great great intensity throught the ride. Ride it at night, and youll have an experience youll never forget, thats all Ill say. However, I was unfortunate enough to sit in Train 2 Car 6, which was whipping me around terribly. My head hit the metal side of the train, and HARD.
It plays by rules all its own, and Ive loved it for 20 years. It could use a little reduction in the mid-course brake the last time that I rode it.
This ride was long and fun and wooden and had 2 lift hills and 4 tunnels, it was a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 thumbs up and 5 stars!
tunnels were great and the location adds to the thrill. i only have 2 complaints about this ride, not a lot of airtime and the final tunnel beats the living h*ll out of you. papa beast is still great 20 some years later
My new second favorite-an epic ride. You get the first two big drops-then the "runaway mine train section" with the tunnel and great curves-and then the final helix-Probably the best wooden coaster element I have ever experienced-sheer madness and chaos. I have never experienced anything like it. Plus the three trains make for a usually fast-moving line-which is great for rerides. I am glad I can finally say that I have conqured the longest woodie in the world.
This was the most ho-hum coaster I ever rode. What is so great about a coaster with a 1/4 mile stretch where it went flat and straight? No pace, no airtime, no fun whatsoever. As big a dud as Hercules in Dorney. Bigger is not better.
Great, long wooden coaster that has its son beat.
My favorite ride. Effective use of tunnels, speed, and double helix. A must ride everytime at PKI!
